Mar. 17th, 2009 10:41 pmSo, what do you do when you're already far behind your regular tv shows? Add a new one to your list of Shows to Try, of course.
In other words, I watched the Kings premiere. I'll admit I was kinda underwhelmed. Also, I thought it was pretty cliched. Still, I really enjoy the premise - David and Jonathan, dude, one of the Original OTPs? Of course it sounds interesting! - so I'll download next week's episode and see from here. Also, I did like that last scene. Yes, sometimes cliched works and sometimes it doesn't, I don't even know how it works, ok?
One thing that absolutely did not disappoint now - changing the subject, btw - was Watchmen, which I saw this weekend. I loved it very, very much; it was so worth the wait! It's always delightful when you've been waiting for something for a long time and it completely delivers. So that was of the good - and I totally fell in love with Rorschach, which was a nice surprise.
I'm thinking of seeing it a second time; especially as the Printemps du Cinéma is next week and the ticket will cost a meager 3,50€ as opposed to the usual - and ridiculous - 10,10€.
And something else yet made me quite happy; the Open Happiness Behind the Scenes video. Hee Brendon! Patrick! And Travis, too. Awesome ♥ ♥ Oh, and who was the woman who sang at the end? Cause I loved her voice!

Date: 2009-03-21 10:43 am (UTC)From the look of it, everyone who watched the show on my flist seemed to have loved it and it always gives me the feeling that everyone else in the world does too...
I'll give it another go and then see if I can get past the big ole cliches or not. I'm so behind my shows, anyway, I wouldn't feel too bad about not adding a new series to follow, I'll admit :-)

Date: 2009-03-21 10:53 am (UTC)I know it's the kind of character of I'm supposed to find cute, but they were so unsubtle about him and his heroic ways, his innocent ways, his good ole Americans ways, that I just kept rolling my eyes over and over again - and definitely not in a good way.
Heh, myth reinterpretations are hot these years, aren't they? :D
They sure are :-)
