Happy Dorky Dancing & BDSM at work
Apr. 29th, 2009 12:07 amYesterday, Boss Man sent us all a mail that has nothing to do with work - it shocked us all, believe you me - with the link to a vid. I'm sharing here because I think it's the kind of video that could put a smile on your face and touch you in the process. Well, I thought it was a touching and beautiful vid, but then I'm sensitive like that ;-) Astronomy Picture of the Day aka Happy People Dancing on Planet Earth.
To imagine all the amazing places this guy has been, all those stunning things he's seen and all those people he's met... all embodied in some happy and dorky dancing around the world. I love easy and complex concept like that :-)
And, hey, so it'd seem '29 April' is International Dancing Day? My timing is so the best \o/ Speaking of, a Happy Birthday to you,
turloughishere *hugs & kisses*
Still related to work though with a side of fannish: so being a fan of kink can be useful sometimes. I was 'grading' exams today - it was a multiple choice exam for an IT class - and going through one student's name after another. At one point, and after all the papers had been given away, someone mentioned one particular name. They were wondering whether the student had taken the exam. And I was like 'yes, I saw his name' and they were all 'don't you want to check in the database, are you sure? They were hundreds of names'. But, no, I didn't and, yes, I was sure. Why? Because the guy's name means 'slave' in Italian. Seriously, there's no way that name wouldn't have caught my attention :-)
Also, in the next few days I'm gonna send out some mails to a couple of lawyers - for a presentation they'll be giving - and it's gonna be pretty funny because I'll have to be all formal and call them by their titles, meaning I'm going to start the mails with 'Cher Maître' - which literally translates into 'Dear Master'. Hee, I cannot wait lol
