How I spent my Monday. Woke up late and got to work late. Worked. Went to Neil Gaiman's signing (thanks go to his blog for telling us about it) with
angeliksmall and
greedy_dancer - that man is awesome, I never get tired of seeing him, even for a couple of minutes. Joined
moimoietmoi at a Starbucks with the girls. Had a lovely and relaxing time. Got home with Cookie. Saw a guy jump from the Choisy bridge into the Seine on our way home.
Pretty good day, if you forget about the guy jumping from the bridge. He didn't kill himself - or else I wouldn't be talking about it like that, obviously - he didn't even hurt himself, he just... jumped. And then swam, calm as you please, and got up the ladder to the bank. I think everyone on the bridge was much more traumatised than he was. The police and paramedics were called but I'm not sure they could do anything since the guy just left after his jump. We sure had an adrenalin high for a second, my heart was racing. I'm happy he didn't get hurt but that's just not normal. Was it a one-time thing or is he going to do it again? On the concrete instead of the water this time? That was just, I don't know, surreal somehow. And freaky.
Anyway. Back to lighter things. May is quite fannish this year. There was Neil Gaiman yesterday. Wolverine tonight. Then on the 28th I'm going to the premiere of the new Terminator at the Grand Rex and, if everything goes according to plan, the cast should be present so, with some luck, I'll see Christian Bale in a couple of weeks. Then, of course, on the 29th I'll leave for Asylum. May absolutely rocks ♥ ♥

I couldn't believe it for a second, I have to say. I can't imagine what people must feel when they see someone actually kill themselves in front of them.
Yes, Asylum is fast approaching!! Being paranoid is good, so go you for making sure everything is okay!
