Smell of wine and cheap perfume

Today is another bank holiday here - oh, May, never stop being so nice to us ♥ ♥ - so it started with a nice sleepin'-in session, followed with a lovely brunch at Starbucks.

Then I meant to visit the parental unit's but I was hit by a mean attack of lazi-tis so I stayed home instead. I'll see them on Saturday for my goddaughter's birthday anyway - Chiara is gonna be 1! Can you believe it? - so it's not as if I was abandoning them or anything, promise.

I got home, lazed around on-line and then watched the Glee premiere. Verdict? I just found my new(est) happy place! It made me - get ready to be amazed by my originality and smrtness - so gleeful! Told you you'd be amazed.

I loved Sister Act back in the days - I know I could make a HSM comparison but though I don't hate it, I'm just not a fan at all so it wouldn't really work, plus Glee is more like Sister Act than HSM in that glee!characters don't break into songs whenever they put on new socks - and I had a feeling I'd be hopping in on the Glee bandwagon. Which I most certainly did. Sometimes I do know myself really well.

Don't ask me who my favourite character is because I just can't choose! Could be Kurt, could be Mercedes, could be Tina or Arty or Rachel or Finn or just about everyone! And then, of course, there's also Will and Emma, whom I love dearly as well. Also I just love how many of the characters are a bit insane? But also totally endearing and loveable. And so talented! That last musical number at the end? Man, I've been watching/listening to it in a loop ever since I watched the scene. I got chills, ok? I might even have gotten a litte teary - IDEK, music does that to me sometimes.

Actually wait. Go here to watch it? And if you hate it, just don't tell me, you'll totally make me cry. I know, again, but it'd be in a bad way this time!

PS: Oh and was that a Kyle XY shout out at one point? I'm pretty sure Finn talked about Sour Patch Kids at the Carmel High thing. If I'm not wrong, then that's pretty cute :-)

GLEE OMG I KNOW. Every time (every, every time!) the commerical came on during american idol I stopped the ff and watched it, sometimes twice, and the the SHOW. So, so, SO AWESOME. :D:D:D:D:D:D

I remember watching the trailer and thinking that the show 'would do' but after watching an actual episode, I can say it'll definitely be more than just a 'nice show I'll follow'. If the rest of the season is as good - or even better - than the premiere, then I'm gonna enjoy the ride!

glee!characters don't break into songs whenever they put on new socks

C'est exactement ça!!! Au moins quand ils chantent on sait pourquoi. Et puis c'est pas de la musique complètement mièvre non plus. j'écoute ce titre en boucle depuis 2 jours, non c'est pas vrai en fait j'alterne avec l'original de Journey!! En France dans les années 80 on avait Macumba mais aux US ils avaient de la bonne musique! Moi je suis une fan du mullet rock, REO Speedwagon et Journey dans le même épisode? On se serait cru dans un épisode de Supernatural... un peu plus sparkly :p!!

Et ça m'a d'autant plus fait rire que c'est exactement ce que disait l'acteur qui joue le rôle de Finn et le coup de la 'chicken v fish' song. Ca m'a vraiment éclatée ; j'étais là 'on est sur la même longueur d'onde !' lol

Kyle XY était un grand spécialiste du 'product placement' et tu avais toujours des paquets de Sour Patch Kids (des bonbons acidulés) qui trainaient ; Josh en donne à Kyle pour l'encourager/le récompenser quand il l'aide à faire ses devoirs de math dans un épisode, Kyle en met dans son bol de lait en guise de petit déjeuner dans un autre etc.

C'est sur que ça doit être dur de se retrouver dans un pays où il n'y pas autant de jours fériés qu'ici. Surtout en mai, où ça se ressent quand même un peu beaucoup. Tout le temps.
