SG - QAF - TS - WaT. Fangirl, moi?

Oh hey look at the date! July, 9th - SG S8 premieres tonight in the US, finally! Your mission if you choose to accept it --and for your sake, you'd better accept it, we French people can be ruthless when we want to, and I'm half-Italian, so it doubles it - I'm just sayin'-- is to post detailed reviews of the episode afterward on yours LJs. And please, please, let it be lots of Daniel scenes in those too *crosses fingers* After hearing about the Lowdown and the practically-no-Daniel thing, I'm just anxious to know what S8 will bring us Daniel fans.

Today being Friday also means we'll be Sunday in two days --my powers of observation amaze me-- which in turn means 413 will be airing real soon. Now, I know what is going to happen and decided I'd try to stay unspoiled as far as dialogs and the like are concerned at least - but then, I said to hell with cruel resolutions and I tried a recap of the episode... Well, I didn't go really far. Reading a QAF recap from a pro-B/J and Michael!hater isn't such a nice experiment - it really takes the fun out of it, as you can imagine *g* I don't know if the recap was supposed to be neutral for all fans to read, but if it's the case she failed miserably. I don't think it was though, because it was just too biased, it had to be another QAF fan recap targeting the B/J fanbase, in which case yes, she did a good job indeed. I think I just missed the 'warnings' lol
Hey I read a TS fic yesterday which was nice in the sense that it used one of TS favourite themes but in reverse. In this fic, Jim went to work in a Psychiatric Hospital and *Blair* was one of the patients. It's usually the other way around. So okay, some things didn't work at all for me in this story, but I liked the idea anyway, and love me some mute!Blair. Yes, I'm a freak *waves*
Finally, I watched WaT and I can officially join the ranks of its fans. I love pretty much everything about that series - the characters (all of them but yes, with a preference for Martin *g*), the slash potential (though the het potential right at the first episode sorta scared me a bit), the stories and the way it's filmed. I absolutely adore the recap/flashback scenes with the missing persons and how they fade away each time... it reminds me a bit of how some Johnny's visions were handled in Dead Zone. Anyway, I foresee some very lovely Wednesdays evenings this summer *g*
Actually talking about this summer, I'll have a nice TV schedule : Without a Trace on Wednesdays, The Sentinel and Jake 2.0 on Saturdays, Sex and the City on Sundays, Third Watch I don't remember when, and I know I'm forgetting about other series right now. It's nice *g*
