Aug. 3rd, 2010 12:06 pmGot home from Prague on Sunday night (an hour later than planned, though it was better than the two hour delay we had on Friday, on our way there - EasyJet kinda sucks) and I spent most of Monday lazying around and napping.
I had a fantastic weekend. The time spent with my sister was just wonderful, the hotel was great, we had a beautiful weather (sunny both days and very hot though always with a bit of air) and the city, oh wow, the city is absolutely gorgeous! I'd always heard about the beauty of Prague but now that I've seen it with my own eyes, I can say that it lives up to its reputation.
We managed to do pretty much everything we'd planned (except for the Golden lane which was being renovated - just our luck) and did our visits by neighbourhoods: Nove Mesto, Stare Mesto, Josefov, Hradcany, Mala Strana. And we even added a little cruise on the Vlatva for good measure. Prague is a great city to walk around, there's always something beautiful to see. And I'm not just talking about the monuments - I mean, obviously those are a must-see, but even the 'regular' buildings are gorgeous. I took more than 500 photos, which means I couldn't download them all around here but I've picked a dozen of them, for those interested.
Ok and now off to watch the new episode of Sherlock and download True Blood 3x07. Then off the flat to see a friend at Starbucks (she offered, I didn't say anything). In other words, a nice and quiet day ahead. I love holidays!

I like the way you think! Let's say we'll meet at Starbucks when I make it to London and Chez Chloé when you come to Paris :-)
