Oct. 26th, 2010 07:13 pmOne of the (many) awesome things about getting ready to live with your fangirl of a girlfriend? You have a ton (and I do mean 'a ton') of DVDs in duplicate. Which, in turn, means you can start selling them all in order to create a little Furniture fund. We're gonna be rich! Well, rich enough to get us a new bookshelf for the living room, at least - definitely good enough for us :-)
Cookie is busy adding some new DVDs to our little "marketplace" as I type. Yes, moar money \o/
I was going to confess that I'm behind all my shows and promise myself that I'll catch up (eventually) but then I remembered that I watched the latest The Vampire Diaries last night so it could be worse. And another little confession: my problem with TVD is that I don't always focus on the plot, I'm all about the pretty and the cute and the slashy and the het which I'm totally fond of and the fact that we have nice female characters and how we have a couple who talk to each other and take decisions together which, wow, talk about a nice change! Then I come across a new development and I'm all "what? Cookie, what is it they're talking about, when did that happen?" and then I get scolded because why can't I just properly follow the show like a good fangirl, right? Right.
But I get distracted! By Elena being awesome, and Caroline and Elena and Bonnie coming to the rescue of Stefan and saving him, which YAY girls saving boys! and Stefan being in tremendous pain and screaming Elena's name like only she can save him... and for good reasons! and Kathryn being always a step ahead of everyone and being her twisted self. And! I can't believe I forgot, the ending and Stefan crying because the woman he loves broke up with him. They love each other and the whole situation is just hurting them so much and he was heartbroken and, seriously, how many times do you see a guy cry over a break up on tv? You'll agree with me that those are very good reasons to get distracted, right? And that was just in last night episode.
Apart from that, we're surviving the strikes and the blockades and the colds (and the cold, though this just pleases me to no end) and we're impatiently waiting for Friday because after our Italian class we'll be on a three-day weekend (Monday being All Saint's Day) during which family and friends will be visited and then! on Monday night! My Chemical Romance concert in Paris \o/
