Hey, Babycakes?

I wish I could remember the line of insults the Frenchmen give Arthur - I only remember 'your mother was a hamster...'

Date: 2004-09-03 10:33 am (UTC)OK, so Arthur, Sir Galahad, Lancelot, and...someone else that I'm forgetting...Come up to the French castle. Arthur's mistrels give a little fanfare and the French taunter comes out, looking *very* confused and goofy.
Arthur: Hello.
French Taunter: 'Allo? Who eez eet?
Arthur: I am King Arthur, and these are my knights of the Round Table. Whose castle is this?
FT: This is the castle of my master Guy le Lomboirde (or something? I can't spell it)
Arthur: Tell your master we have been charged by God with a sacred quest, and if he gives us food and shelter for the night, we shall ask him to join us in our quest for the Holy Grail.
FT: Well, I'll ask him, but he's not very keen, you see, he's already got one!
Arthur: What? Are you sure he's got one?
FT: Yeees, it's very nice!
(The scene cuts back to behind the castle wall, or whatever the official term is...The place where they shoot arrows from and such.)
FT to his happy other French people: I told him we've already got one!
(The happy French people laugh behind their hands.)
Arthur (back down on the ground): can we have a look?
FT: Of course not! You are English types!
Arthur: Well what are you?
FT: I'm French! Why do you think I have this silly accent, you silly king?
Sir Galahad: What are you doing in England?
FT: Mind your own business!
Arthur: Well, if you won't show us your grail, we shall storm your castle!
FT: You don't frighten us, English pig dog! Go and boil your bottoms you son of a silly person. I blow my nose at you so called Arthur-king! You and all your silly English "knnnniggits!" *Blows raspberry while hitting himself in the head*
Galahad: What a strange person!
Arthur: now look here, good man!
FT: I don't want to talk to you no more you empty-headed animal, food trough wahper! (wiper, for those who need translation. =P) I fart in your general direction! Your mother was a hampster, and your father smelt of elderberries! *Defiant sniff* (Elderberries smell really bad, so that's a great insult.)
Galahad: Is there someone else up there we can talk to?
FT: No. Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time!
And then it goes into la vache fetching and tossing.
And I'll have you know that I did that all from memory.

Date: 2004-09-03 01:44 pm (UTC)So my name comes from the nymph Castalia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castalia) in Greek mythology. It's actually the name I use when I write my fics - I really only use Mouse on LJ or elsewhere on-line.
When I was looking for a name for a pseudo, I leaned toward mythology because I love it, and I thought it was fitting *g* It's 'Castalie' because I chose the French version *g*

Date: 2004-09-03 02:33 pm (UTC)OH well. French isn't really my language, to be honest, and no offense. I'm all into German, Russian, and Japanese. I can't wait to start taking Russian classes!

Date: 2004-09-03 03:50 pm (UTC)No offense taken, promise lol I studied German and liked it well enough, the only problem is German didn't exactly like me *g* My favourite languages are Italian, Japanese and Chinese - though I really love Hebrew as well and I think Russian sounds intriguing *g*
