Sep. 5th, 2011 11:16 pmToday was one busy day! I'm ready to keel over. I think I would have keeled over if not for the delicious meal
nicelyobsessed cooked tonight, which gave me a bit of my energy back; squash soup and stuffed squash. I had the soup for dinner and will bring the stuffed squash for lunch tomorrow at work, I think! It was absolutely divine! It also convinced us that we should cook more often. I made eggplant parmesan this weekend and it was a success as well. So we should try to cook more *nod*
Moving on. I wanted to update last night after we got back from the WWE World Tour but, even though we were extremely excited - had trouble going to sleep - I felt too lazy to write up a report. I feel just as lazy tonight though so I'll just say we had a blast! Our seats were fantastic and we had a wonderful view of the ring. It was Cookie's first time and she loved, I was thrilled :-)
I just love going to that kind of event because it's so much fun! Really cathartic, too, I think. It's two hours and thirty minutes of screaming yourself hoarse when encouraging the good/your favourite guy and booing the other guy/villain or trying to warn your favourite that someone is sneaking up behind him and you're all behind you, look behind you omg!! or trying to yell at the referee because he didn't see that Mark Henry had just cheated the big cheater! and, what, he's pretending he didn't do anything? Liaaaar! Then there's the wreslter' signature moves that you hope to see and when you do omg, the excitement!! Just, yeah, a lot of fun <3
For my own reference more than anything else, a list of the superstars and divas - don't laugh, it's not my fault that's how they're called - and the match they played:
Daniel Bryan vs Wade Barrett
The Great Khali & Jinder Mahal vs. Jay and Jimmy Uso
Alicia Fox vs Natalya
Heath Slater vs Ezechiel Jackson
Christian & Mark Henry vs Sheamus & Randy Orton - hee Randy Orton!
Yoshi Tatsu vs Brodus Clay
Sin Cara - Sin Cara ftw!! - vs Tyson Kidd
Cody Rhodes vs Ted DiBiase - I told Cookie all about The Legacy and why that match was particulary exciting
Cody Rhodes, Brodus Clay & Tyson Kidd vs Ted DiBiase, the Usos brothers & Sin Cara - meleeee!
Heard in the arena: "Why, wrestling really is kinda gay, isn't it?" after a move that would have been perfect in a smutty fic scene lol And "Hey, wasn't that n°84 in the Kama Sutra?" Same thing. Also I might have said "omg, they're going to molest him" when Sin Cara was being hugged to death by some of his fans, to which Sam - the (male) friend that gave us the tickets - replied "This isn't a fic, Alex" which made me laugh my ass off. Oh and there was a streaker! Only he kept his briefs so maybe he was just half-a-streaker? The security guys didn't find him funny. At all. We did, though.
Something else that was pretty funny, and quite unexpected; Randy Orton, Sheamus and Daniel Bryan all spent five minutes doing classical dance moves. For real! Mark Henry just looked at them with content.
A very short selection of pictures taken that night - Cookie took around 500 pictures? Not even kidding.
Hm. Ok. So now, in order to win back some credibility points, I'll watch Suits, re-read some hot Erik/Charles while downloading the new Panic video that came up on my flist today and ogle some of the latest pics of the Ford Arts, Beats & Eats Festival ok? Ok.
