Oct. 30th, 2011 08:19 pmToday has been filled with a big dose of nothing. It's been a Very Lazy kind of day. We had a whole plan ahead of us, though. Especially as with daylight saving time, I was up at 8.00AM instead of 9.00AM so that was one more hour to do what we wanted! Which was supposed to go like this: lazy breakfast then mainlining American Horror Story - anyone watching that show? - then I was to cook before we had lunch followed with either a little stroll at the bois de Vincennes or a visit to the Louvre to see their In the Kingdom of Alexander the Great - Ancient Macedoni exhibit.
The lazy breakfast happened. The AHS mainlining happened as well. Same thing with my cooking. But then. Well. The weather got a bit threatening and the little stroll outdoors wasn't such an appealing option any longer, right? And I might have taken a nap for an hour and when I woke up, going out just felt like a tremendous effort. It wasn't just me, btw. So we stayed in.
I can say we basically watched tv all day. Let me see. Three episodes of American Horror Story - we'd watched the premiere the day before when
moimoietmoi slept over. That show is deliciously disturbing and creepy. I'm quite enjoying it - even though I'm not a fan of horror films, usually, because I'm a wuss. But this one works. Having said that, I'm hoping they won't drag things for too long. I think a short season would be perfect? A bit like with British shows, actually. I have no idea how many episodes there're supposed to be?
Anyway, we followed with The Fades. That series finale was intense! I'm sad to see the show go. I'm really hoping we'll get a second series. There've been words of a trilogy? Fingers crossed that it happens.
Then it was Merlin's turn and now we're catching up on The Vampire Diaries. I don't think we'll be able to watch SPN tonight - it's bank holiday on Tuesday and, like many people around here, Cookie took Monday off but alas I'm going to work tomorrow so I'd like to go to bed before 4.00AM, if possible!
So we basically did nothing today but I guess, sometimes, doing nothing is the only thing to do ;-)
