Omg, you guys, I finally had, after a whole week without, a long night sleep! I've been plagued with the most tiring cough ever; the kind that just doesn't leave you any moment of respite. I'm being dramatic over it because it's been really annoying and made me not sleep correctly and I've been coughing so much that I'd give myself a headache and after a while it hurt in all my upper body. It was that kind of fucking annoying cough and it's been a whole week already and I'm so ready for it be to over! I finally managed to get an appointment with my GP after work yesterday and he gave me some good stuff which hasn't stopped the coughing yet, obviously, but kinda me knocked me out nicely enough that I could fall asleep more easily than usual. I'm hoping it'll get better soon; a) because it just exhausts me and b) because I haven't slept with Cookie for almost a whole week due to said coughing (she's a light sleeper on a good day so imagine the kind of hell it was to try and sleep with someone who's coughing for hours and twisting and turning to try and find a sorta comfortable position to finally FALL ASLEEP OMG) There's something wrong here, right? Right!

Anyway, I've felt miserable all week, that's the main thing that happened since my last entry ;-) I know, I know, almost too exciting to bear, isn't it? /o\

I should be taking advantage of that unexpected day off to work on the lit paper that is due Monday but honestly I think I'm just going to nap all afternoon in between bouts of resting in front of some RomComs - my comfort tv whenever I'm sick or under the weather. I thought of starting my Christmas film watching but it wouldn't feel right without Cookie there and, also, it's better with the Christmas decorations up in the flat and we'll be doing that this weekend. So I need to be a bit more patient :-)

Oh and since there's a bit of whine hidden in this entry (I'm sure most of you didn't notice, I'm sneaky like that!) let me whine a bit about the weather in Ile-de-France: it apparently forgot it's supposed to get cold! There is snow in some parts of France and here? It's autumn. Why so wrong, weather? So if you're posting pictures of your yard hidden under snow, link me, please? Let me enjoy some coldness by proxy, will you? :-)

Oh noes! I've had nasty coughs like that before and it really does take a toll after a few days. I hope you get better pronto!

I posted a few photos over on my FB of snow and holiday lights in Denver. This week has been chilly, but finally warming up. But the snow is still on the ground!

It really does. And it takes so long to go away completely! I'm at the two-week mark and it's not over yet.

Thankfully there's been no snow. Or at least not any that settled - we had some serious hail that wasn't fun. I'll take pictures if we do though. :)

We got a couple of centimeters of snow on Tuesday but it's mostly gone already so I know exactly what you mean. I'm tired of autumn. I want snow, dammit!

Today felt a bit more wintery so there's that! Not that cold but colder and the weather was crisp-er than it's been all week, it was pretty nice. It just needs to keep going and to keep getting colder and everything will be fine *nod*

Hey you! I hope what the doc gave you is really working by now, other than making you too sleepy. Coughing sucks and I think it's very chivalrous of you to let Cookie sleep. I'm a light sleeper too and hate it when Tom has a cold or is otherwise sick (like the other night, when he got up to throw up and when getting back to bed, kept tossing and turning and burping - Roeland has been down with stomach flu as well, so it's become natural that Tom share in the pain, I seem to be mostly immune, luckily).

I agree with the weather, they predict temperatures around 8-10 degrees for the whole week to come. I'm going shopping with mum tomorrow, at least I hope it won't rain too much. And although I'm not fond of having to go out in the snow by car, I do love it too. But in two weeks, I'm on holidays for a week! If only it could snow then! Or is that asking too much?

It was a bit crispy today, which made me feel happier but it's nowhere near the normal temperature so I'm still waiting for the weather to cooperate *sulks some more*

Guess what, Tom has been sleeping on the couch for three nights now, he's got a terrible cough as well. He's got a day off today (to go shopping for my Birthday with Alby this afternoon), so I told him to go to the doc this morning. He's very stubborn that way, I wonder if he did.

Well I know you're better and have decorations now, so I'm just here to give a thumbs up to naps. Though strangely, they're not things I have that often.

Oh, and yeah, the weather is just weird. Apart from those few flakes of snow we have nothing either. Just lots of wind.

Actually, I've an appointment (again, yes) with the doctor because things have been going south (again). I'm really hoping the new treatment will put an end to this coughing and feeling like shit. I have hope!

But we do have the decorations now, yes, which makes me happy :-)
