Just a couple of days ago I was thinking I missed the thrill of discovering a new show and falling for a new fandom, when everything is new and you watch all the episodes back to back and you might not even really know how to spell the chraracters' names at first but you're still falling in love with them anyway; you want to inhale everything that has to do with said characters and you can't get enough. Always such a sweet feeling :-)

katikat made a post about two characters from Spartacus: Vengeance, namely Agron and Nasir. And she was kind enough to add a little visual help, like this still of the guys.
Flist, I don't know if I'm too subtle about it for any of you to have noticed, but I sort of have a huge size difference kink. No, I do. I have many sexual kinks that, sometimes, will lead me to read genuinely bad!fics just because a kink I love was mentioned - I'm weak like that - and I have some other kinks that aren't inherently "sexual" but that definitely make me a happy camper; small(er) guy hooking up with tall(er) guy? Omg, fills me with glee. So imagine how I felt when I saw the pic.
I thought "that's interesting", nothing more, though, because I like to pretend that I'm rational and not a slave to my kinks every now and then. I didn't even investigate those two guys in that show I actually tried once but didn't find any particular interest in (it was all blood, sex, blood, tits, cocks, swearing, blood, blood, ass. Whatever). But you know how it is, it's there, at the back of your mind. So I decided to give the second season a try last night, just to see. Like conducting an experiment.
Results of said experiment? I went to bed at 4.30AM lol I didn't want to stop before knowing what happened next and take the risk of missing a new look between the two of them and what if they kissed and I was sleeping? So I watched most of the season and kinda fell in love with Agron and Nasir. Then I also found a new love for Mira. And was quite interested in Gaius Claudius Something and Ilithia (promise, I'll check how you spell their names asap!).
Admittedly, I don't think I'll go and watch Spartacus from the beginning but I definitely got into that second season and I'll wait to see what happens in the next. Whenever that one happens.
Now, I need to go and pay a visit to AO3 and see if I can find some nice Agron/Nasir slash, as you do :-)

Life is treating me, well, thank you :-) I'm just juggling many things what with work and school those papers I have to write and the time I want to spend with my girlfriend and my friends and my family and sometimes it feels like 24 hours aren't enough. But things are going well *hugs*

That's really good to know. I'm happy that you're doing so well. I do know the feeling that 24/7 just isn't enough but it's what we've got and we need to work with it.
