Hope everyone who celebrates Easter or Passover had a lovely time! It was my case, which I count as a victory because I've been so tired the past few days that I feared it would ruin all my plans. But lo, I managed to stay awake enough to keep with the program. Except for today when I left Cookie to her posse to see Hunger Games, I'd have loved to see it a second time but I was just too knackered, I needed to stay home and do nothing.
I don't know if one has to do with the other, like I'm more sensitive to fannish things when I'm tired, but if you feel like there aren't enough people squeeing with you about whatever show/book you're in love with at the moment, now is the time for you to mention that interest to me. Even just in passing. All signs point to me giving it a try and getting hooked on it afterwards. First it was The Hunger Games, then Spartacus: Vengeance and now I've watched the premiere of Person of Interest and I'm intrigued enough that I'd like to see more. Yes,
slb44, that one was for you ;-)
Only problem is, it's taking me forever to download the season. It might be a while before I watch it all. You guys, I miss MU so much! I never thought twice about downloading a whole show when MU was around. Now, it's much more difficult. The files refuse to download or they do but stop at 99.31%. Sometimes I have to download the whole file all over again and it'll work like a charm and sometimes it just won't. Ever. And I never know in advance!
Case in point, I've only this morning managed to get my hands on the season finale of Spartacus: Vengeance. The episode gave me ALL THE FEELINGS and now I feel bereft because omg, I have no more new episode to watch! After gorging myself on all of Spartacus in such a short time, it feels like going cold turkey. No moar Agron and Nasir! No more Mira. No more Naevia and Crixus (another pairing I love ♥) and let's not forget about Ilithyia and Glaber? I'm going to miss them so. When is the show supposed to come back? I've read somewhere January, 2013. January? *dies*
I'm afraid I've also read all the Agron/Nasir in existence. That is, those posted over at A03 (same difference?). I was lucky to find some great stories, especially those of Agggron's, long, meaty, compelling, gorgeous and oh so hot Agron/Nasir. It felt like watching the show. Only with all the sexy bits we didn't get. Or not that in that much details, anyway ;-) I foresee many re-reading of her fics.
PS: huge thanks to those of you who filled in my poll! I've also received some very interesting comments so, you know, gratitude! ;-)

I miss MU as well, and trust me still haven't seen even half the eps of PoI.

Date: 2012-04-11 09:28 pm (UTC)It's so frustrating to see all those downloads and have the file stop working for whatever reason. It used to work so perfectly when MU was still around *sigh*

For a start. There's a WIP I'm currently reading and enjoying immensely but I'm not sure where it's going of it I'll be able to follow so I'll hold off on that until it's actually finished. If it lives up to the early chapters I'll rec it on my LJ.
It is extremely frustrating. I hate it! Haven't had any luck with the other sources to date.

Date: 2012-04-19 09:18 am (UTC)WIPs can be frustrating, yes. I usually tell myself I won't stat one before it's complete than I can't help but think that I migh be missing some very nice bits of stories in the meantime so I usually end up reading, anyway. I'm just weak like that, I guess!

Date: 2012-04-19 02:18 pm (UTC)The WIP in question just keeps getting better and better but still no end in sight. Like you, and especially in a small fandom like PoI, I willing to read everything and anything at first. Though I'll admit I've rapidly become a OTP gal for Reese/Finch and I don't think the omnivorous reading habit is going to stick in the face of that. Fortunately the WIP is massive hurt/comfort R/F so I'm good!
Enjoy the fic! Don't hesitate to ask if you need more.

Date: 2012-05-08 09:01 pm (UTC)I haven't started reading the fic because I haven't downloaded all the series yet and I'm afraid I'll spoil myself if I do.
Also, guess what? I just found out that one of our networks is going to air PoI. No date so far but they aired LOST during the Summer and it does feel like they're trying to target those fans so maybe? In any case, they already built and launched the French website (http://www.person-of-interest.fr/).

Date: 2012-05-08 11:25 pm (UTC)I don't blame you. I normally don't do wips but I''m so desperate for fic in this fandom that I have broken my own rules.
That's very cool! And the website looks fantastic. Do you mind if I share that link with the rest of the gang?

Date: 2012-05-09 11:25 am (UTC)I thought the website looks shiny, yeah :-) And I don't mind at all, I'm sure the webmasters would be delighted to know some fans overseas are curious about it :-)
