I've been waiting for today to arrive for the past week; first, because it was bank holiday and what's not to love about that, and second because work has been hectic the past week with crazy schedules and so many things to do that my head was spinning. Thankfully as of yesterday 7.00PM - I had two students who just would not leave argh! - Crazy Week is over and done with. Things should go back to being crazy in a week or so but in the meantime, I'll take advantage of the relatively peace and quiet.
That is, as far as work is concerned. It's another matter altogether school-wise. I'm still drowning in a sea of research and papers and trying to dedicate my free time to complete everything or, at least, complete as much as possible - whether I'll suceed in doing the former is still undetermined, but I'm doing my best, which is all I can ask myself to do, right? Right.
I sound like a broken record these days, just ignore me ;-)
Fannish-wise, not much has happened, I guess. I've seen The Avengers and didn't like it. I loved Banner, though, I truly did! And Coulson was as awesome as ever. It has to count for something? To be honest, the fact that I didn't get into the film made me feel like I belong to a minority maybe even more than being gay does. No, seriously lol But I'm reasoning that it's a good thing as it means it's one less fandom I'll get addicted to. I wouldn't have the time, anyway!
Unrelated. So today is International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia and I wanted to share Projet 17 mai, which had French graphic artists collaborate and share art on homosexuality. There are a lot of strips with French dialogues but some are sketches with no text, like this one, or that one, or those two. Could be worth a little browsing :-)
Also, upon looking for more info on Projet 17 mai, I found my way to Têtu, our biggest LGBT magazine and I finally watched the trailer for The New Normal, one of Ryan Murphy's new shows? The sap in me immediately liked the characters. Obviously, you never know whether you'll enjoy a show until you actually watched it, but the premise and what I saw of the characters definitely caught my interest, at least. Looks like it'll sweet, funny and touching. Guess I'll tune in when the show premieres. I also had the pleasant surprise of seeing that Andrew Rannells was one of the leads, I had no idea! Nice.

Date: 2012-05-19 12:27 pm (UTC)Yeah, I can't say I like Tony Stark, either. Which I actually can't say too loudly in my household because my girlfriend is a huge fan. I'm oppressed, I'm telling you!
