Nov. 1st, 2012 11:13 pmLet's see if I remember to crosspost whenever I write a new entry from now on!
I'm on Day 2 of a five-day weekend (almost like a mini-vacation ♥) and today especially was wonderfully relaxing. I've basically not left the couch (or only to bake a cake) and spent the day watching tv and chilling online.
Tonight I've (finally) watched The Hurt Locker and, wow, that film is gorgeous! The way the story was told was, I don't know, quiet in a way? Which is not what I was expecting from that kind of storyline. I mean, it is violent and gory at times and stressful but I thought there was a sort of languid quality to it. I'm not sure I'm saying it right. One thing is sure, though, is that I absolutely loved it and Renner was fantastic as William James. Mind, the whole cast was brilliant, really.
Now that I know the original narrative, I can say that my love for Rough Hands, the Hurt Locker fanvid I recc'ed in a previous entry, is even stronger.
I'd planned on watching Ingenious right after, in case I needed a pick-me-up film but I got distracted by a documentary on the telly. I'll keep it for tomorrow; to keep with my daily Renner-fix ;-)
Speaking of, everyone (interested in Renner, obviously) has seen the new red band trailer for Hansel and Gretel, right? I can't wait for the film, honestly; I'm just hoping it'll be the good kind of crack and be ridiculously fun as opposed to just ridiculous #FingersCrossed

Yes, it was an awesome day, and an awesome film ;)

Date: 2012-11-02 11:39 pm (UTC)PS I saw that you'd enabled the footer with the link to DW in your crosspost, but did you know that you can also get a link to the LJ post here in your DW entry? You just tick the Display Crosspost Link box on this page. (Or the Display Cross Post Links box on this page.)
