castalieHello flist. Since I haven't had the opportunity to say it yet, a Happy New Year to you all. Here's to hoping 2013 is a fantastic one *hugs*
Our NYE has been very quiet. My BIL's mother passed away on Sunday so Cookie and I cancelled our plans so that we could spend the evening with him and my sister. We've also spent a lot of time at their place, minding my nieces.
Our last week of vacation has been a bit odd and less restful than we were hoping for. Cookie and I are also going through the longest case of multiple-colds we've seen in a long time (whooping cough excepted). Basically we've been sick with one cold or another, flu and bronchitis included, since the very beginning of december. Suffice to say we're ready for this annoying situation to be over!
But I'll stop my whining here and move onto nicer topics. I haven't really made any resolutions for the new year because I know I always have problems sticking to them but still, I'm hoping to read more (as usual) and finish my thesis (I've felt so disconnected from it the past weeks, I'd better get back to business soon!). I also have some nice things planned for 2013 already, like the Neon Trees gig in February, The Book of Mormon musical the month after and week-ends in London, Rome and Vienna planned between March and August \o/
Fannish wise, we went to see The Hobbit a fifth time yesterday, and my enjoyment hasn't abated in the slightest! I've also spent a lot of time going through the different fills posted for the![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
hobbit_kink meme; so much Kili fic, so many kinks, so much fun! I still long for a long and plotty story involving Thorin/Kili (or Kili/Fili if I can't have it) but at least I got to enjoy some Kili slash, for which I'm grateful ;)
