Week in the life - Day 1 & 2
Feb. 17th, 2013 10:18 pmHey, is it just me or did our little Arrow RomCom decide to spice things up a little by turning our already very hot twosome into an even hotter threesome? I mean, I'm a Dig/Oliver lover through and through but if Diggle thinks he needs Felicity to help him handle Oliver every now and then, to have her, I don't know, tie him down while he's fucking Ollie, who am I to complain?? Oh show, you truly are the gift that keeps on giving, aren't you? ♥
Without the slightest segue.
greedy_dancer resurrected the Week in the Life meme, which is one of my favourites so I told her I'd follow suit.
Day 1 - Saturday. Just a handful of pictures, I kept forgetting I was supposed to take pics. My bad.
1.
Saturday morning, Cookie, Dad and I went to see how our flat looked - there were little things that still needed to be done. It looks lovely, you guys, Cookie and I are delighted with the result :)
2.
Before heading back home (ie to my parents') my dad had some errands to run and we went with him. This is a view of Choisy-le-Roi I'm not used to as it's in a part of the town where I rarely go.
3.
I spent the afternoon+evening with a couple of friends I hadn't seen in forever. This is a blurred picture of the cake my friend C. had made and the chocolate biscuit her six-years-old daughter S. had very generously shared with me, both of which I couldn't eat due to Lent. Bad timing!
4.
On my way back home.
Day 2 - this time I did remember to take more pictures!
1.
All was peaceful and quiet in the house as I was the first to wake up. I started reading a fic that
destina recc'ed, namely Chosen Man written by
sineala, which is one of the best The Eagle fic I've read, it's so good, you guys #HeartEyes It's an AU where both Marcus and Esca are part of the Roman army and it's basically 116,000+ (yes, you read right, a 116,000+ Esca/Marcus) of brilliant writing ♥
2.
Then the parental unit woke up and we had breakfast together.
3.
Helped my dad with some Firefox plug-ins he was in dire need of.
4.
Last week I made beef bourguignon (under my mother's tutelage) and this week I tried my hands at blanquette de veau.
5.
Cooking!
7.
While everything was cooking, boiling, stirring, whater'ing, I took a break and read some more of Chosen Man in front of the fireplace ♥
8.
It doesn't look like much like this, I guess, but put together? So tasty! Totally proud of myself (though it's not a difficult dish, to be honest. Still, Classic French Cuisine, dude!)
9.
Felt a craving for some Berko's cupcakes so went on a mission to Paris to get them for everyone. Waiting for my train.
10.
Along the way, this is what I saw.
11.
Closer look of Notre Dame, I never not stop for a minute to look at her, she's so beautiful. She's celebrating her 850th anniversary; she doesn't look bad for such an old lady, does she? ;)
13.
Background is the city hall. You can't see it clearly but between the carrousel and the city hall is the temporary ice rink they install every year during Winter.
14.
Centre Pompidou.
16.
Some guy was feeding the seagulls on the pont du Double.
17.
Berko cupcakes!
18.
My sister had paid us a little visit with my nieces. Emma started playing with her blocks, Chiara joined her to make a "tower that would reach up to the sky. Or almost". Speaking of Chiara, she actually squealed when she saw I was wearing my Thorin's Twelve shirt (if I'd known how much she'd love it, I'd have bought one for her!) and promptly sung one line from the lyrics of "the Song of the Dwarves", song she hasn't heard since 24th, December! I was so impressed ♥ She was also very proud to declare that she wasn't afraid of the dragon any longer. You go, girl!

Typing up the meme ;)
I tend to forget how long it takes to write those entries! An entry with more pics thans text shouldn't take that long lol
