I don't have anything out of the ordinary planned this week, so this will be mostly domestic, I think...

Caveat: picture #9 is a shot of my computer screen with the fic I'm currently reading, ie Chosen Man, (The Eagle) which I've fallen in love with over the weekend - such a brilliant piece of Esca/Marcus that I want to rec it to everyone who happens to be around me. Case in point, I'm recc'ing the story for the second time in two days ;) - so I suppose one might consider this a spoilery shot - even though I don't. Just, you're warned.

Day 3 - Monday

1. 2013-02-18 08.57.13
On our way to work, waiting for our train in front of a couple of ads.

2. 2013-02-18 09.20.59
At work. Here's my lunch in my pretty, pretty Bento, a little walnut cereal bar in case I get hungry around 10.00AM (since I only had milk for breakfast) and an apple for my goûter, at 4.00PM ;-)

3. 2013-02-18 13.14.09
Checking up some "literature" for our trip to Italy during our lunch break \o/ Did I tell you? Cookie and I going to Roma for a couple of days in May :) Can't wait for Cookie to discover the city (and the country) and can't wait to see my godmother, uncle and cousins ♥

4. 2013-02-18 14.23.26
I meant to send this to [livejournal.com profile] turps33 in the afternoon but could only do it later on. A couple of my co-workers saw me write on the whiteboard and decided to participate - collaborative work!

5. 2013-02-18 17.35.16
Had to find another way to get back home as there was no train when we got off work due to either a suicide or an accident (or an assault, one never knows). This is one of the cable cars circulating in Paris.

6. 2013-02-18 18.21.28
Back to Choisy \o/ I always feel a bit of nostalgia when I walk in front of this building as it was our old library, ie when I was still in primary school. I still remember the wooden stairs, so very narrow, and how everything creaked. I also remember Library Lady helping us pick our books and reading us stories... she had the sweetest voice. I loved going there so much ♥

7. 2013-02-18 18.22.07
Current library. Lost all its charm, didn't it? At least there's still a library in the neighbourhood, though!

8. 2013-02-18 18.41.22
Homemade bitter orange marmelade Mom made over the weekend. We tasted it tonight, very tasty. Well done, Maman!

9. 2013-02-18 18.45.04
Heee, I reached the part I was dreaming about ever since I started reading Chosen Man! So hot ♥

10. 2013-02-18 19.04.10
Stopped reading [archiveofourown.org profile] sineala's fic (I just don't want it to end!) and took a break to catch up with the latest episode of The Brain Scoop. The Brain Scoop is hosted and written by Emily Graslie, who's the "volunteer Curatorial Assistant for the Philip L. Wright Zoological Museum at The University of Montana, and she'd like to share some of the amazing things they have in the collection with the Internet." And she does it wonderfully, too.

A warning before trying the videos, though: heed the Grossometer at the beginning of each episode, they can get Pretty Gross, indeed. I mean, I love how different and interesting those videos can be, but they won't be to everyone's taste. We're talking about gutting and skinning dead animals, slicing through their bowels to see what they've ingested before their death, that kind of stuff ;)

A new day done \o/ Cookie is thinking of doing the meme as well and she was all "it'll help me update for a little while, guess it'll make for easy entries to write" and I was like "weeeell, I wouldn't say "easy" per se". But definitely fun ;)
