Week in the Life - (Belated) Day 4

castalieI meant to post Day 4 (the real day 4) last night but around 11.00PM I got so incredibly sleepy that I couldn't keep my eyes open and I had to forfeit. It was awful, I mean I had fic to read and an episode of Arrow to re-watch. I had better things to do than sleep, body, do you hear me? Well, obviously you don't. Or you just don't care #Pout
Day 4 - Tuesday
1. Changed bag for my "school bag" before leaving home as I intended to be disciplined and head to the library right after work. I'll spoil you right now, I wasn't and I didn't. I can'ttomorrow tonight (bday celebration at my sister's) nor Thursday (due to work, totally not my fault) but I SHALL GO ON FRIDAY! I hope #Sheepish
2. I got ready for a whole day of training with three co-workers (second of a four-day training - albeit not four days a row, thank God!). It's very chill and all but it's still a bit intense. By the end of those days, I usually feel like a zombie. Which is why it wasn't a good idea to think of going to the library right after #YouReRationalisingMouseAndYouKnowIt #Sorry
3. Back-office of the elarning platform I'm supposed to know like the back of my hands by the end of the week. Easy as pie! Or not. The jury's still out on this one ;)
4. Well deserved lunch break with Cookie at Prêt (à Manger).
5. Before going back to the training, I sneaked in Cookie's office to get myself a cup of coffee-with-milk. I needed all the help I could get to stay focused ;)
6. Back home in my home uniform, ie whatever fannish/geeky t-shirt I feel like wearing and sweats I wouldn't get caught dead in \o/ I mean, back home and not the library /o\ I'm sorry but this training drained me! I know it's stupid and if I just had a bit more motivation I'd have gone but... I didn't, I had zero motivation *sigh* I'm a bad student, THERE! Btw, this is the t-shirt that my goddaughter seems to be fascinated with. Sunday she felt a bit sad because she "couldn't remember the name of all the dwarves". No worries, baby, it happens to the best of us too ;)
7. Dinner with Mom and Cookie, I felt like having seafood #Yummy
End of Day 4 because I planted myself on the couch in the evening to putter on-line and forgot to take pictures of, well, my screen, I guess? You didn't miss anything exciting, promise ;-)
Ok, now, do I have time for a short Arrow fic? *looks at clock* Maybe I do! No, wait, I don't; took me too long to edit this thing lol

Incidentally it allows me to recognise geeks in any rooms - case in point, I was proctoring an exam with my laptop back in January. An IT Dude saw it from the other side of the room and did a very happy thumb-up sign to me. Then, a couple of weeks later, I met him in a lift at uni. He was with one of his co-workers. We said hello and he turned to his mate and went "she's the one who has a kick-ass SW sticker on her mac". Bam, insta!geek cred lol
