Cuteness all around - except not / Lost 1x06 file

Came back home just in time to catch the very last minute of Into the Fire this evening, which was still worth it because the whole Jack-strokes-Daniel's-hair-fondly-and-tousles-his-hair is just too cute, I love that scene. And I don't care if it's in the background and only lasts like, five sec's - the scene is there and I'm there to see it too *g*

Speaking of cute --but with absolutely nothing to do with SG whatsoever-- I watched Legally Blonde today and that movie is just teh cute! Dunno why I never watched it before and I don't even know whether said movie was a hit or an embarrassing failure - all I know is that I couldn't care less and I just enjoyed it tremendously. Because did I mention teh cute? And teh funny too? I love it when they play with stereotypes, so yeah. And Elle was almost unbearably adorable and endearing, I'm just sayin'. So I decided to add that movie and its sequel to my Must Buy DVD List. Because I know that I'm always raving about dark stories and whatnot, but I'm also a sap at heart and this story was just too sweet, and I need sweet movies now and then, so yeah bis.

And a last note which doesn't have anything to do with the rest this time, but seriously? I can't wait for those bloody US elections to be over and done with one way or the other, because I'm so fed up with all those programs on TV dealing with them all the time. You'd think we actually have a say in the votes for all the US Elections specials they're doing *sigh*

And now, off to watch House of the Rising Sun again and again and again and again. Speaking of which, I uploaded the file at YouSendIt so if you missed it or whatnot just follow the link.

ETA: Oh boy! Just watched a D/M vid --thank you so very much crack_van-- and eeeek, so hot! Not that I'd ever forget why I love either Methos or Duncan/Methos, but seriously should I feel the attraction fade one day, I'd just have to watch all those vids because oh the love! The angst! The passion! The exclamation marks! *happy sigh* And it also makes me crave the DVDs like you wouldn't believe. See, even though I have lots of Methos!episodes on tapes and the French version is really good, I just long for the original version because, hel-LO, sexy accents! *sigh*

Oh, you think you're tired of the coverage? Every other commercial (and as you know we have A LOT here) is a political ad. And since I'm in a swing state, it's twice as much. I'm going insane!

I'd go insane I think. But I'd tell myself that somehow... it's supposed to be like this because as maddeningly frustrating as it would be, I'd know I am American and yeah I can do something about those fucking elections they keep rambling about. But here? Feels like they're harassing us for nothing.

I mean, yeah we all know it'll have some consequences over the rest of the world, blah fucking blah I'm just fed up with the coverage. We can't do anything! Stop harassing us, man *sigh*

What is a little disturbing is that I'm not in a swing state and we have no ads AT ALL. It's like it's a forgone conclusion, give it up, election's already over. Big impetus to vote, y'know? At least we're blue.

That *is* disturbing. I'm in the same swing state as whitevanilla and we have been bombarded for the past week with TV and radio ads as well as pre-recorded phone call messages and pollsters...and tons of campaign mail. Gee, maybe *my* vote is more important than *yours*.

Man, the American population is literally harassed during those elections. Things are a different around here and thank God, because I couldn't stand people calling me or knocking at my door like every five minutes to know who I'm voting for and why etc... hope the circus won't ever reach out frontiers *shudder*

Finally watched Rising Sun - (managed to tape w/o disaster) - didn't they do an amazing job with Sun and crazy husband guy? Made him sympathetic and scary at the same time - plus I'm really starting to like tormented!Kate - she didn't want to be Eve, I loved that. Did I miss something in her ep - what did she do that she was being hunted for anyway? And Charlie crying over the guitar got to me. Did you like?-)

Oh they did, they did. Sun's arc --and incidentally a bit of Jin's-- was great! I loved it.

We don't know what Kate did. She was going to tell Jack in Tabular Rasa and he declined, explaining that they should all forget about the past and look forward only now, which is why Kate talked about Jack having had his chance to know - you know when they're both talking on the beach?

And Charlie crying over the guitar got to me. Did you like?-)

Because no I didn't 'liked' it, but loved it, I loved pretty much every.single.scene with Charlie as a matter of fact *g* It was just awesome!

heehee - I did miss your main Lost post - I hadn't watched yet. Charlie gets great dialogue - his world-weary comments just kill me. (like when the monster is roaring in the jungle for the first time and everyone else is standing there in terror -he just says, "Terrific." hilarious.)

Didn't you think Locke was less creepy? Or maybe we're just being set up for when he gets progressively more "the island speaks to me" strange. And do you think he really knew about Charlie's band or did the "island" give him the information so he could get into Charlie's head?

I love Charlie's snark. He just cracks me up. Oh how I love that guy! *happy sigh*

I'm not the only one, then? Seriously, Locke didn't look as creepy as usual in that episode. I told myself I wasn't being biased and that I didn't think that way just because he was helping Charlie, but he did seem less creepy. Though at the same time, he was still doing his cryptic thing so in a way maybe he still was, but it was definitely different than his usual creepiness. I totally agree *g*

And that's a question I asked myself too. Did he really know about the band or was he given the piece of information by the island? People are telling me I'm like a mini-Mulder and I'm giving too much power to the island, but man it's all so confusing! lol
