castalieSqueee! I just ordered the DVD of Monstres et Merveilles Vol1, aka as The Storyteller aka Jim Henson's The Storyteller. Oh wow, I'm in geek heaven. That series was one of my favourites when I was a kid and I was mesmerised by the stories the Storyteller told me us. It was released last month it seems? All I know is that I didn't know and when I saw it I couldn't resist so I just clicked and clicked et voilà *g* And after all, I'll receive a nice paycheck next month so I can allow myself to spare the money - it's not as if it was expensive anyway. Oh boy, I'm so impatient to get the DVD *bouncebounce*
And now a little non sequitur - as if it was anything new around here *rolls eyes* So yeah, something I love with LJ, something that never fails to amuse me? Is how you sometimes find out that behind an apparently innocent handle hides a BNF from one of your beloved fandoms. It doesn't change anything per se, but somehow it always amuses me - I don't know why *shrug* And speaking of which, I always find it strange when fanfic writers actually make an announcement to explain they're leaving the fandom - but I guess when you're a BNF, things are a bit different? And it might be better to announce it honestly instead of having tons of readers 'pester' you about writing new stories all the time and having to repeat the reason of your silence over and over again.
This whole BNF thing always makes me smile anyway - and I think it's definitely better to be a casual writer, this way you keep under the radar most of the time. You can enjoy your status of 'fanfic writer' all the way but you can do whatever the hell you want without anyone being the wiser.
