Bonne année !
Jan. 1st, 2016 04:15 pmHappy New Year, flist <3 I must say I was quite happy to see the back of 2015, let's hope 2016 is kinder to people and that it brings more laughters and smiles than it does tears. I wish you all the best for you and yours *hugs*
This year we decided to ring in the new year at home, with three friends of ours who stayed over (I love me some sleepovers). It was lowkey and chill and just perfect; we cooked together (it was mostly a vegan meal, which was a novelty for me) and had our very own little NYE buffet all prettied up and looking so delicious. In between dishes, we made little breaks, we watched Charlie Brooker's 2015 Wipe before playing a game of the Doctor Who DVD board game. Then after midnight we started a mean (haha) game of Cards Against Humanity, which they'd never played before. They loved it and we played till around 3.00AM. That game never fails to cause hilarity, it's absolutely brilliant! Although very much the kind of game you can't play with just anyone omg lol Plus, playing it in English is quite... "educational", shall we say. For instance, turns out "cottaging" doesn't have anything to do with an innocent cottage and/or innocent garderning, did you know? We laughed so much when we looked it up and found out what it meant :p
They left a little earlier and now we're chilling. Well no, to be accurate, Cookie is being incredibly active right now, she started putting things away earlier on and, from the sound of it, is reorganising our spare room. I'm incredibly supportive of her endeavours... from the couch. I've planned on being the opposite of active today - I mean, we did clean the place when our friends left, I didn't leave her taking care of everything on her own, it's just that I stopped at one point and... she didn't ;)
I'm going to try and finish my book (La bibliothèque des coeurs cabossés by Katarina Bivald, translated from Swedish Läsarna i Broken Wheel rekommenderar, which in English is, let me check, The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend) then read some fic and just kick back and relax. What a lovely plan :)
