This week was the 40th birthday of Rosie's, lovely member of the French Posse. In a couple of days, it'll be my turn. As we were talking, something GD said resonated with me: how if she pictured herself back in the early days of aforementioned FP and someone had told her she would be celebrating those kinds of birthdays, she might not have believed them. I often look fondly at our journey: how most of us met in the comments of an LJ Meme (seriously, in the comments of an LJ Meme) and got to know each other before we decided to meet AFK, how we went from online friends to RL friends and then how, around fifteen years later, we would be celebrating all kinds of milestones together... I mean, I do have childhood friends that I've met more than twenty years or even thirty years ago - I've met my oldest friend in kindergarten - but, I don't know, there is something special about friends that were met online, you know? (Ha, I don't think I need to explain it to you guys lol)

To think I'm a few days away from celebrating my own 40th birthday myself, and some of you have known me since my early twenties... without ever meeting me for most of you (though not all of you and I cherish each of those meetings ♥)!

Anyway, I don't know, life is funny (and so sweet) in the way it allows you to create so many different kinds of bonds and relationships with people, be it people you've known all your life or that you've met along the way... either in the flesh or online.

To make a long story short... I love you, guys ;) And know that you're always valued *hugs*

Happy almost birthday!! *g*

And Online Friends are special. They definitely get me better than most of my RL friends, just because fannish interests are so much more personal.

I mentioned to James that you were turning 40 and he reacted in shock saying how can she be, she's a young lass. I think someone is in denial about time moving on for us all *g*

And yeah, it's amazing how long the friendships have lasted. Nearly half a lifetime, that's epic.
