Jedes Wochenende koche ich einen neuen Kuchen. Heute Nachmittag habe ich einen "gâteau au fromage blanc" gebacken, aka today I baked (as per usual on the weekends during the lockdown) and then I gladly bragged about it in the mini German "essay" (I use the term very loosely) we have to send our teacher on Tuesday telling him all about the exciting things we're doing these days. Funny timing, the last two lessons we have had to study were all about hobbies and activities, the times of day etc.
Even funnier yet, in one of her latest assignments for her English class, my eleven-year-old goddaughter had to describe a typical day the during the confinement and here I am, basically doing the same thing as her. It certainly cracked her up when I sent her a picture of what I was working on ;)
Also, when I say "brag" about the cake, it's definitely not about the complexity of the recipe since this is another simple and quick one to make but the result was very pretty, as well as delicious, so I included the pic in my aforementioned so-called essay because, well, why not, right?

Those also happened to be my first strawberries of the year and as strawberries are among my Most Favourite Fruits believe me when I say this particular dessert really hit the sweet spot ;)
I hope you had a lovely weekend, just like mine was. Both days flew by (work was pretty dense again this week so I was quite keen on starting my weekend). It's always funny to look at the time and realise it's already 7.00PM. In-between the cooking and the baking and the zooming and the assignment writing and other activities ending in -ing I watched the pilot of Run (which I enjoyed) and then resumed Locke and Key. I'm happy to report that I've reached episode 6. I'm enjoying it a lot. I'm hesitating between finishing it tonight or making it last a little longer and waiting til tomorrow night instead.
Speaking of tv, I spoke too fast in one of my last entries and I completely misunderstood what was happening with the airing of Prodigal Son. More accurately, what I previously thought, namely that a) they had shot out of order and b) episodes 21 and 22 were done but not episodes 19 and 20 still held true and it was the reason why we had a two-week hiatus, ie. two weeks with no new episodes when 1x19 and 1x20 were supposed to air.
I'm a bit disappointed, obviously, because the pace is picking up and the plot is thickening and I really was looking forward to those bridge-eps but (like with many other things right now) things are like they are and, at least, we will get the two most important episodes of the season, namely the one leading up to the season-finale and the season finale which is quite lucky for us. (Another piece of luck would be to find out a second season has been picked up but apparently TPTB are taking their sweet time about it!! Hopefully, we're not waiting that long for a negative answer!)

Date: 2020-04-20 02:17 pm (UTC)That's such a shame about PS -- I'm being lazy and letting you find out all the info. But you're right. The end two episodes are the important ones. And fingers crossed that second season will be announced soon.
Totally unrelated. Did you ever watch the last season of Lethal Weapon? I did as it was on TV here, but it just didn't feel like the same show.

Date: 2020-04-23 02:51 pm (UTC)It was a bit disappointing but if would have been so much more disappointing if they'd shot in order. Are you up-to-date?
I didn't. The whole thing was just ruined for me after the whole mess with the actors and how TPTB handled the whole thing, I'd lost all desire to keep watching. (And I loved Riggs too much, anyway)
