It's supposed to last the whole month so we should be able to resume our Not So Regular Maybe Curfewed But At Least Unlocked Life around December, 1st. Maybe. Who knows, at this point?

I'm not a conspiracy gal but this is 2020, people, everything is possible! We'll see what happens. At this point, there's no point in even trying to make sense of this whole situation. Everything is confusing.

On Thursday (the day before Lockdown officially started), it felt like no-one was understanding Life anymore, I swear: "Ok, ok, but if we can't do remote work and have to go to work, do we need to use the Permanent Permission Slip and the Regular Permission Slip?" "Wait, does it mean that the curfew is over?" "Are we under a combo of Curfew + Lockdown meaning that even if you do fill the Permission Slip you still can't get out after 9.00PM, anyway?" "Unless maybe you fill both forms?" #Confusion

Know what? Forget it, I've just made my decision. I'll stay home and never get out, thank you very much. I have TOG and BTS and oh! I have an idea. I hereby officially declare the Christmas period open! Tomorrow I'm wearing my Christmas jumper and starting my Christmas wishlist and maybe looking for Christmas movies to watch. There.

Speaking of, for those who are, like me, into cheesy Christmas stories, let me share my excitement over the first photos of Lifetime's first-ever LGBTQ Christmas movie. Christmas cheesiness and LGBTQ+ representation... what's not to love?

This is rough! We're back in full lockdown here in Ireland as well, though I think the rules are clearer and there are no permission slips. I support your idea of extending the Christmas jumpers season!! Good luck with it all.

Do you mean you can't even go out to do your groceries? Our permission slip has a list of reasons to go out, like going to the store to do groceries or the pharmacy or to your GP. We're also allowed to go out for an hour to take a breath of fresh air (which is my favourite of the list, obviously). So far the parks are open, so we can still enjoy them for the time being

Oh, no we can do groceries! We just don't do permission slips, and are not allowed to go further away than 5km from the house, and indoor visits from/to other households are not allowed either. I suppose in a way we have more freedom, I could spend the whole day outside if I wanted!! As long as it's within 5km.

It doesn't change my life much for this year but it's still all very wearying. Take care as well <3

Ok, I was worried you were actually locked down! 5kms sounds nice, it's 1km for us (exception made for thosed who have to go to work, obviously).

No matter the rules, it is very wearying, I agree. Let's just hope it'll make the situation better soon, at least.

In the meantime, let's just say we'll have all the more reasons to stay inside and do all those things that are good for the soul ;)

Christmas films have been keeping me sane for about a month now and the one you linked to looks fabulous!

I second your motion to declare Christmas period open. All the coffee shops here have just released their Christmas drinks, I hope I can get one before they have to shut on Thursday.

I totally get that. It feels like things are changing on a daily basis here, tier two, no, tier three now except the Northern leaders are opposing that so tier two again. No lock down, a few days later, yes lock down. I know something needs to be done but some clarity would be nice.

I'm watching one right as I type this lol It's the only exception to our k-drama watching that we're making at the moment (high praise for them!).

There are absolutely no coffeeshops in Choisy (such is the suburbs) so I'm making them myselves lol If I go to Paris this weekend, I'm hoping to go to Starbucks and get one. They haven't all re-opened yet, even though they offer take-out options, but I'm crossing my fingers and hoping the ones in Saint-Michel have so that I can get my first non-homemade Christmas drink.
