My flist rocks - woohoo!

Well, plan got cancelled. Which is why I'm LJing instead of freezing outside in the cold - and I know we're in July and I shouldn't use the word 'cold' but how would you call a weather that forces you to take your coats out of their closets in summer, huh? Seriously, it was that cold today.

So instead, I'm all warm and comfy, LJing and exchanging tons of comments with oceana_ because LJ is fun that way *g*

So yeah, The Esu and I were supposed to go out tonight - we'd planned on doing something real cool and original, too : go to les Champs Elysées at 4.00 am to watch a part of the army practice for the 14th military parade.

It's really fun : because they need to practice on the real thing (ie les Champs Elysées) but don't want to create an impossible and frightening mess with the traffic during the day, the different units practice --in turn-- in the middle of the night during the four days that precede the event. Blocking the avenue by then isn't as traumatic as it would be as 4.00 pm, obviously *g* And for instance yesterday night was apparently the Household Cavalry's turn - yes, a British unit *g* I don't know whose turn it was tonight.

It would have been a blast seeing them. I mean okay, we could go and watch the whole thing in daylight on the 14th --and we may do that anyway-- but it will be so crowded, and it was just fun going there to see some of them in the middle of the night *g* Unfortunately sis was dead on her feet and she cancelled. What can I say, some people just can't take a night without any sleep lol

But staying on LJ is really sweet as well, I think you'll agree with me, so I'll survive *g* And I still have many HCL fics to read, too - let's not forget about that.

Oh hey, also wanted to say that my flist rocks - I read some really great, long and detailed reviews on New Order, I'm a happy camper *g*

And speaking of people who rock : oceana_ is just the best! Right with lerefuge. Just so you know *g*

*sad* ooooh... that's another thing I miss: the July 14th military parade... And my friends who have TV are totally anti-military... *pouts* so unfair!

Tu me diras, avec ce temps pourri de chez pourri, on aura peut-être même pas de regret à ne pas y aller du tout. Mais bon, d'ici là, l'été peut décider de faire son boulot correctement.

Et qu'est-ce-que c'est que ces gens anti-military qui t'empêchent de regarder ton défilé *pets you*
