Aug. 4th, 2004 10:30 amArgh - the file I was uploading at YouSendIt decided to take a break and just stopped. Oookay, let's try again then *sigh*
Hey did I tell you that I belonged to the gmail crowd? Thanks to
ximeria I got myself a nice little invite, so I now have a gmail account - because as everyone knows, you never have too many accounts *nodnod*
Gmail is all shiny, too - I was really curious about it since everyone and their brother on my flist was raving about this new black, so I'm now a happy camper.
On a different note, The Sentinel is definitely alive and kicking on LJ.
rhyo created a new comm dealing with all kind of TS news called
ts_news - sorry for my non-original description, but at least, you'll know what it's all about lol
And if everything goes according to plan, we should have our own TS version of
ds_undercover and
secret_ids next month or so *g* It's not set in stone yet, but it seems
tobyfan and
reetchick are on their way to set it up *g*
I wanted to see that kind of challenge for TS, but I really couldn't imagine myself managing it, so when Anne hinted that she would be willing to do it if someone wanted to help, I was pretty excited *g* We'll see how it goes...
Last night was so relaxing - we all watched L'Intégrale des Inconnus. Man, they're so fucking brilliant and hilarious. I'd forgotten some of their sketches, but for the most part, it was apparently still imprinted in our heads because Henry and I were doing the dialogs at the same time as them. It's such a classic around here - I could remember using some of their most famous lines over and over when I was in junior high school, and we're still doing it now *g* It sure didn't get old. Les Inconnus are definitely among my favourite comic artists.
And since I'm on the subject - to
lerefuge,
oceana_ and
french_hobbit : with some luck, I should have your copies made today. Everyone crosses their fingers!
And finally, this has nothing to do with anything but huh, did you see the new fics archived at Area 52 today? I think, I think I just saw an xover with QAF. Oh boy... this could be bad, this could be sooooo bad. Should I try it? Do I even have the guts to try it? *chews lower lip* I know that as a dark reader I can stomach a lot of things, but some crossovers are sometimes too difficult to deal with.

BTW, did I ever send you my address? Because I rarely check the yahoo email addy I gave you anymore, so if I haven't, drop me a mail at oceana2602 @ gmail.com
And welcome to the gmail club! One you figure out how to use it, it's a lot of fun. And searchable group emails, very nice, especially cause yahoo groups search function sucks.

Date: 2004-08-05 02:47 am (UTC)I'm so bad at challenges and deadlines so I don't know whether I'll join, but I know I should because it'll be such a blast. I'll have to think about it real carefully.
I'll let you know that I kept the squeeing to the barely minimum, ie I didn't squee per se, just bounced on my seat *is proud*

Date: 2004-08-05 11:33 am (UTC)Also yes, you need an invite. And yes, should I have some, you'll be the first to know. Just in case, you know? lol
You can apparently set your mails in different folders immediately, you can organise better, stuff like that - and let's not forget the 1000 MB of storage of course.

Date: 2004-08-04 09:02 am (UTC)Spiderman2 is AWESOME!!! I especially loved the homage Sam Raimi made for his original zombie movies - in particular, Ash and the Army of Darkness (mucho screaming, chainsaws in an operating room, etc). :) *licks movie*
And as for QAF crossovers, as bad as it CAN be it can also be kind of fun. Imagine if Brian were to pick up on Daniel, and Jack happened to not be so amenable to that?
... ... okay, I can see where the squikiness could happen. Could be scary but...well... *shrug*

I think the writer has Brian and Jack half brothers, so... yeah.
