We're Tuesday around here already, so I sorta officially stopped spamming you like an hour ago, go me!

You know how you sometimes find a comm that is so good that it gets you, hook line and sinker? Well, I found a new one that totally fits the bill, namely [livejournal.com profile] ship_manifesto - man it's so good that I spent a whole hour over there, going through essays on pairings I know but also pairings I don't because the people who write these essays? Are bloody good at talking about their OTPs, it's a pleasure to read them, even when you're not that familiar with the fandoms - or I guess, even more so when you're not familiar with them *g* It's also interesting to see the different views people can have on a same OTP, or on a same character but in a different pairing - diversity is the spice of life and all that.

I was curious to see if my favourite OTPs would be represented and I'm excited because I won't even have to wait long for the main ones! Jack/Daniel and Jim/Blair are scheduled for September 1st! As well as Duncan/Methos, man that should be interesting *rubs hands together* And Beecher/Keller will be two days later, and that pairing? Definitely a must read!

YnM has also been scheduled in all its multi-pairings glory, as well as Saiyuki with a delicious OT3. Oh and [livejournal.com profile] babycakesin? Seishiro/Subaru will be there too *bounces*

There are also some rareslash and-- yeah okay, we already established that community was pretty interesting, right? *g*

I'm a bit disappointed because Skinner/Mulder hasn't been chosen though *pout* I would have loved to read that one --in particular right now when I'm in such a Sk/M kick-- plus some other pairings of mine. Hopefully at a later date? *crosses fingers*

Totally sign up to write Skinner/Mulder. Spren was just looking for people to write X-Files OTPs.

If I felt comfortable enough with the pairing, as in if I remembered enough of XF, I could eventually do it, but believe me when I say I need a refresh course because it feels like ages since I last watched XF - I was considering starting buying the DVDs as a matter of fact, this could push me over the edge lol

Btw, I read your own essay on Danny/Martin and it was brilliantly done, and how much I loved the pics you included? A looooooot! Which yeah, I could have told over there but since I caught you here *cough*

Really loving [livejournal.com profile] ship_manifesto! So many great essays and lots of good fics being recced. I'm totally with you on Sept. 1 with Jack/Daniel, Jim/Blair, and Duncan/Methos. Three of my favourite OTPs that aren't Trek or Jossverse ;)

I was curious about this comm, but man it was so much better than what I hoped! I love listening to other fans talk about their obsessions - no one better than a fan knows how to do that, there's so much passion, know what I mean? Which is also why I'm impatient to read the essays on J/B and J/D in particular *bouncing*

And for someone deep into Trek of Jossverse, this comm must feel like home away from home! lol
