Busy busy busy day yesterday : left home at 1.00 pm and came back at 1.30 am - but I'll spare you the details because I'm nice like that.

Too bad though, we missed the opening ceremony for the Paralympic Games last night. Anyway, now we'll have to see how many medals the French team will bring us *cheers on them*

On a different note - I'm really enjoying Angel S1, I may go and buy the second part of the season. And I think I should hurry too because 20€? Too cheap to stay long in the store. We have to go back to the mall this afternoon anyway, so I think I'll make a quick detour to Carrefour to get S1 Pt2 *nodnod*

And speaking of DVD, my Fried Green Tomatoes DVD arrived yesterday - it's so moving, I now have my beautiful movie home *shaking voice* And Demon Diary v.1 was there as well - oh melikey! I think I'll have to get the other volumes. The only thing that was weird is that the manga isn't in the right-to-left format like they're usually are but in the left-to-right format. I know it's just a detail, but I'm so used to reading it Japanese-style that I don't like it when they don't do it... which usually never happens so I don't know why they did it with this one *shrug* Speaking of details, what is it with this stupid dang thing? I always thought it was stupid in fics, and now I have it in my manga, damn! Next thing, they'll say Gawd as well *cringe*

Anyway, I'll enjoy really getting into Demon Diary - it'll be a pleasure to follow Raenef and Eclipse - their relationship is pretty interesting *g*

About the bonus stories, now? Crystal Heart was so sad! Beautiful but so sad *sigh* Do all Demon Diary volumes include bonus stories though?

ETA: Oh boy - the French version of Queer Eyes for the Straight Guy is starting next week! Well, good luck to Gilles, Benjamin, Junior, Xavier and Zacharie, because the reaction to this show should be interesting. Then again... maybe no one will care, who knows? lol

I remember watching it when they first aired the series in France --and when I say 'first' what I mean is 'first and only time' they did-- and I remember really liking it. It had a darker and more grown-up quality in a way than Buffy and I really liked the atmosphere. Then they stopped airing and I always wondered about the rest of the series.

Never got around to get the DVDs because I always have so many shows I want, but when I saw that they had special sales for those, I thought it was a clear sign I finally caved in and bought one lol

The Opening Ceremony was lovely but not as spectacular as the one for the Olympics. And that French team marching in was just huge. I'll be cheering for them for you (except if they're up against athletes from Ghana :-) THat's the team I've been assigned to)

Feels like those Olympics won't have the same coverage as the previous one, so I'll count on you to cheer on my delegation for me... except if they're up against Ghana, of course lol

I loved the first season of Angel, although I am possibly the only person *ever* who watched Angel having never watched Buffy and hence there were many things which made NO sense...

I really *liked* Doyle, especially Doyle and Cordelia. Sigh.

I've been told that S1 of Angel was a favourite for many. And really? You got into it without watching Buffy first? Wow *g*

I really liked Doyle too, was crushed when they killed him - but Wesley is there so it'll make things better somehow.

See, having no Buffy background, all I knew about the Wesley character was what they showed on Angel and it took me most of season 2 to warm up to him.

And all I knew about Buffy herself was what I saw on Angel and it made me detest her (something I'm still not really over.) What a self-righteous, whiny bitch, lol.

I'm really getting into it, too. I'm so glad I bought the thing. Now I only regret not buying the second part, but I thought it wouldn't be wise spending money on something that I may not really love that much after all. Too bad though, because I couldn't find said second part when I went to Carrefour yesterday. Though I should have looked elsewhere, thing is, we were in a hurry so I couldn't cruise the mall correctly. Hopefully, I'll go back this week and get it *g*

I heard so much about the US version, I'm curious to see what the French came up with. I'm also curious to see the kind of reaction it'll create - if it creates any, mind.
