Okay well, new background - only not at all since it's the same. It's just that now it's covering the whole screen - well, mine at least. Thing is, so far I was still using my old resolution even with the bigger screen because... well, why not? But with the brand new posting interface? The page was stretched all over the place and I had to scroll side to side every two seconds and I just hate that, so it was high time I finally had a good resolution. Problem was, my background wasn't following so I had to have a bigger one and after a mail marathon with
babycakesin, it's back in place - don't ask. It's a bit blurred but as Babycakes said 'No it's okay, it looks etheral and romantic' so there lol
New icon too -
stacy_l was using it and I just had to have it too, so I tracked down its owner, namely
awakencordy et voilà. Because I thought it was a shame I didn't have a single icon from what is, after all, one of my three main fandoms - and because slash considerations apart, Mulder is one of my favourite characters. I always admired his dedication and how he never was afraid of ridicule - he just brushed it off and kept going and going because he believed in what he did. And because I have a thing for smart people.
Since today I decided to stay home, I had myself a little geeky day. I coded the stories for
sentinel_thurs's current challenge. Yes, you heard right - so far, all the stories written for Challenge #58 have been coded and sent to my beloved co-mod.
I also revisited the Mulder Torture Anonymous archive for a nice trip down memory lane, and read some of the stories again - so okay technically I have pretty much all of them on discs already, but it felt like old times when I'd just discovered the archive and didn't know where to begin. [/nostalgic] Though I'm lying because I started with A - alphabetical order can be nice when you have too many goodies to chose from lol This archive was the very first XF archive I found when I got into the fandom - pretty interesting archive for a newbie, don't you think? *eg*
After something old, something new. Thanks to
babycakesin --yes, her again-- I discovered Weird Al Yankovic and boy his parodies crack me up! YouSendIt is your friend, that's all I have to say *g* Don't forget honey, if you have more, I'm here!
Finally --promise-- so did someone actually like the SV S4 premiere? Because my flist didn't seem exactly thrilled. I know I find this show boring so coming from me it wouldn't have meant a lot, but since my flist is usually in love with it, it surprised me. Also, I'm curious about the premiere --well, official premiere that is lol-- of Lost and CSI: NY - they were apparently as good as people hoped they would be.
Sometimes I wish there a Spoilers Central. A multi-fandom community where people would post all the spoilers you can dream of. I wouldn't have to hunt them down anymore, twould be sweet lol

Date: 2004-09-23 08:50 am (UTC)Love the Mulder icon.
I'm so shallow.
I don't even know what else you wrote...
le sigh.

Date: 2004-09-23 09:11 am (UTC)Oh I know the feeling, sometimes an icon will definitely grab your attention and won't let you see anything else - they're such attention ho'!

Date: 2004-09-23 09:03 am (UTC)I really should have one too as I was an Xphile long before learning about online fandom. Mulder, how I love you! Everything you say about him is true.
Mulder Torture. *even happier sigh* That boy suffers so well.
Challenges will be going up soon, I've been busy the last two days finishing an anon story which is a secret but I doubt anyone from the fandom will read this. Well, maybe Josh because he's nosy like that *g*
So yes. Challenges will be uploaded and mine started now I have a sort of semi plate.
The SV people on my flist don't seem thrilled either. But there's another CSI? Man, where will it end?

Date: 2004-09-23 09:15 am (UTC)Isn't it incredible how quickly we can update this archive when we decide to really work on it? But I'm happy because C#58 is ready --or will be since we may get new responses tonight-- on the same night that it'll close. A miracle!
Yeap, CSI: New-York, with Gary Sinise who I love, so I'm impatient to see the series grows *g*

I'll send you Weird Al songs about once a day - but I should warn you: I don't have that many of them :P

Date: 2004-09-23 09:27 am (UTC)I didn't watch CSI - NY (because I'm in the camp of, Dear lord, another CSI???) but I did watch Lost and liked it a lot. It was the first episode, so it was more backstory than action, but I think it should be excellent the longer it's on. (And I was actively looking for people to slash and I think I have a few, so yay! Gotta get those priorities straight *g*)

Date: 2004-09-23 12:06 pm (UTC)I'll check on CSI:NY as soon as I'll be able to --which isn't saying a lot atm lol-- because I really like Gary Sinise and since I like CSI --no the Miami though-- I'm hoping I'll find an interset in that new series. As for lost, hopefully in several hours, I'll be watching it *crosses fingers*

Date: 2004-09-23 12:09 pm (UTC)I was a huge fan of XF, didn't miss an episode - though okay I didn't watch the infamous Sans Mulder season. I plan on buying the box sets once I'll get the money. They haven't aired the show in around a year and a half so I can't watch it right now.
And XF is right next to TS and SG as fandom goes, though I don't mention it as near as much, I'll admit *g*

Still, cool idea. *ponders concept*
