I knew you had to be liking this episode! All Charlie all the time! I thought they did an amazing job of it, too.
I started to like Locke back at his arc episode - they tried to freak us by having him take an interest in Walt (Aaahgh - pedophile!) but I think he's totally in zen-mode now -he's been the recipient of a miracle, and now he has the tightest connection to the mystery of the island. I still believe that he could go bad, though - he could become it's arm of justice or retribution or whatever.
Predictable vanilla-girl here still loves Jack *g* and I think I have a serious Jack/Charlie jones going on - the looks! the banter! protective of each other! don't get me started...
Loved Charlie - he's such a good actor, maybe the best on the show, I think. I believed his whole thing - it was just heartbreaking.
Kate? pffft. Sawyer? double-pffft. Sayid? oh, man. my het ship could so be Kate/Sayid (assuming she stops being an idiot) He is so freaking hot - how about that "I don't trust him... with you." line? melt, melt, melt... And he is so The Professor on Gilligan's Psycho Island - coconut phones are not far off, I'm sure.
Good Michael, good Hurley, good Sun ("It's too hot. Fuck you." finally!)And about Scott and Steve... I read a review way back in the summer (potential spoiler here, I guess):
that the premise of the show is that there are 48 people, and any of one of them could become a key character at any time - that this is a revolving door type of cast, though I haven't seen that so far. The article also implied that we shouldn't get too attached to anyone. ulp!
My only complaint? the moth symbolism. just beat us over the head with it, why don't they? we get it, we get it! he's a moth, it's a cocoon, okay, okay...
hmmm... this is soft of long.... I'll stop now *g* Overall, though - so cool!
