OMG!! SNOW!!

It's snowing!! I woke up to a white city and it's still snowing! We're having snow for the first day of winter, I can't believe it, it's almost too good for words!

And I checked my mailbox and found three cards - katikat, thank you, girl *g* oceana_? Your card is absolutely gorgeous! This is one of my favourite pics of Jim and Blair, you couldn't have made a better choice *beams* And french_hobbit? The whole package was beautiful! From the envelop to your home-made card, which is so classy, to - as you can imagine - the copy of the CD. Thank you so much for that! I'm listening to it right now - I'm really touched that you thought of making me a copy, thank you, girl *g*

Today just started in the most wonderful way! And since I'm supposed to meet Manu at Starbucks, it shouldn't stop but you never know so --> *knocks wood & crosses fingers*

And since today is the winter solstice... does it mean that Yule started? How does it work?

Yay! you have to love snow at Christmas. *g* ours melted, and the grass is still green underneath - this global warming thing is really wild. :)

I'm a winter junkie and whenever I get snow, it's like I get the best fix a junkie could dream of, ya know? As twisted as the comparison might sound lol

So to be nicer, let's say that when it snows, it's like Christmas before Christmas... or the Christmas that never ends if it snows afterward *g*

Yule is the winter sabbat and is TOMORROW WooHooHoo!!!! It's the only thing keeping me cheery at the mo. We celebrate the rebirth of the Sun, the days get longer and everything is shiny and new.

Now though I'm even more confused. What's the difference between Yuletide and Yule? Does 'tide' mean 'eve' somehow? Or is it the same thing? And I thought Yule was on the winter solstice, and isn't the winter solstice supposed to be on the 21st?

Snow... grrr... because a/ I'm terribly jealous and b/ why do they have to send me in Paris just the week when it'll be un joyeux bordel because of the holidays and the snow? et oui, je suis une vieille grincheuse lol

Snow melted completely in Paris --we still have a bit of it in Choisy though-- so Grumpy Girl should be happy lol

Well to tell the truth, I'd be one hell of a Grumpy Girl myself if I had to leave my family during the season, so I sympathise *g*

And isn't it just perfect? I had to sacrifice one of my Xmas icons, but as long as I have one it's alright and I suddenly had one hell of a craving for something snowy *g*

LOL...I'm looking at your icon and I at first I read it as "PEACH". And I thought, well I know the Mouse is a little quirky...but "PEACH"? On a snow-covered bench? Ahem...yes, time for that eye check up maaaaa. Sheesh.

Oh and slightly OT, but not really becuase it's *you*...I was watching Stargate last night. Now, I've never watched any of the episodes for season #whatever with Jonas, but this was the last episode of that season & Jack says this line that had me in stitches..."Spank me rosy." I can't even think now what the scene was about because that line totally caught me off guard and I just giggled myself silly over it. Because, well, oh my...what a tempting offer. *g*

Starbucks is one of my favourite places to chill in - if not my favourite place, period. It's so cozy and so nice and the drinks are so yummy... so very expensive too, but it's worth it *nod*

I'm hoping for more snow in the upcoming weeks *has faith*
