castalieCame home, and realized they're airing ER again - only they didn't start at the beginning. Oh no, instead they're starting with "Be Still My Heart" *quivering lower lip* Why so much cruelty! Why can't I even take advantage of some alive Lucy before they kill her *wails* Noooo Lucy, don't die. I love youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu *sniffles* Cruel, cruel TV schedule.
At the same time there's TS on M6, with "Hear No Evil" tonight - and Jim, you can be such an ungrateful bastard *shakes head*
So what, you can't even thank Blair properly, uh?
[After Jim showed some difficulties with his sense of hearing, Blair thinks of a solution. Blair comes over - at the precinct - fiddles with a device in his hands, then puts it on the desk. A white wash of soft static overrides all the other noises. He bounces, waiting. ]
Blair: Well?
Jim: Well, what?
Blair: Does it work?
Jim: Oh, yeah, yeah. I'm all ready to wax my board and hit the surf. You're kidding with this, right? What is this?
Blair: What else do you hear, Jim?
Jim: Office sounds. *pause* At normal volume.
Blair: Yes! It works! That's a white noise generator. People use it to block out unwanted sound, like if you have trouble sleeping at night.
Jim: Or if you have sentinel hearing on the fritz.
Blair: Exactly. Try these on.
Blair gives Jim a small case *looks like a ring case* which have two earplug-shaped objects in them. Then he comes around to sit next to Jim.
Blair: Each one of these is more than just an earplug; it's a white noise generator.
Jim: These are attractive.
Blair: Aren't they?
Jim puts the earplugs in.
Blair: Yeah, just put those on in there.
Jim: Nice.
Blair: Uh-huh.
Jim: Not bad. Now I can get some work done, huh? Were you able to contact Marten's wife?
Blair: A "thank you" would be nice.
Jim: Thank you. I'll remember to send you a card, okay? Anything?
Blair: You're welcome. Nothing.
You should see Blair's face - waiting and waiting for Jim to thank him. But no, Jim won't do it, uh? You jerk! Blair just found the perfect way to help you with your senses, and you can't even give him a little Thank you, Chief or I'll give you the blow job of your dream in a few minutes, Chief or Expect the pounding of your life tonight, babe, can you?
Well anyway, don't worry, I forgive you. I know you're trying to protect your badass cop attitude in front of the guys at MC. I know you'll make it up to Blair once you'll be home *pets Blair*
Also, in French, Jim doesn't say I'll send you a card but Je t'enverrai un bouquet de fleurs, ie I'll give you flowers. Somehow, I have a preference for the French version lol
Oh and in case you're wondering, there're lots of lovely J/B scenes in that episode, that's not the point *g* Also, I think I definitely have a thing for Jim-and-Blair-in-the-loft *blink* I mean, I can't get enough of it! lol
