Received some pretty shocking news yesterday and am processing, as they say. I wrote a pretty long entry about it, then deleted it because suddenly it felt like a call for attention and I didn't like it. I mean, calling for attention with your friends is one thing, but with a flist? It's another story. Besides I remembered that I don't share personal stuff around here - so it got deleted.

Instead, I'll go back to safe subjects like, you know, look at my GIP? I finally found the Wesley icon I was looking for. I saw it on yami_tai's LJ and hunted the creator down... or something, and snagged it, because it was just the one I wanted. Isn't it gorgeous? *g*

And speaking of Wes, now that I'm back at school and slaving around to prepare my finals in two weeks, I could tell you that I don't have the time to watch Angel anymore but it would be a big fat lie, because nights exist for a reason, right? And no, it's not to sleep - sleep is so overrated. So I'm finding my way through S1 and S2 atm and enjoying every minute of it. Hell, every second of it, because damn Angel is that good, and Wesley is just that perfect. He's like a study in contradiction, that man - endearing and sweet and clumsy one minute, focused, with a sharp edge and deadly the next. I'm also quite addicted to his insecurities because that's how I am, so when they play on it in the story lines, I'm in heaven. To make a long story short, I'm still getting my daily - make that, nightly Wesley fix and enjoying myself like crazy *g*

Also, I thought Daniel or Blair had it bad in their respective shows in the whumping department, but Wes could give them a run for their money - and it's only getting worse?

Now on a different note - seems like the up-coming months should bring us some nice shows. I already knew we were getting Lost and CSI: NY on TF1, but it seems M6 bought SG:A - which isn't a surprise, mind - and The 4400 which sounded like an intriguing show, so I'm curious to see the real thing.

Oh and this has nothing to do with anything but the galette des rois season is here... and I'm not a happy camper because I don't like it, and it's the only dessert we'll get for the whole week whenever we'll be invited somewhere *pout* And anyway? I never get la fève. Then again, like I told my mom when she got it on Sunday [first Sunday of January and all that] and got to be crowned Queen, I'm already a drama queen, so I don't need no new crowns! lol

And on a final note... The Return of Lost is almost upon us *bounce*

I watched the first two seasons of Angel then didn't see anymore. I may have to rectify that if you like it so much. I know that Wesley was all about the whumping even then, there's one episode in particular that's wonderful like that. Not that I can remember the name or anything but it just made me shiver because I'm twisted like that.

It seems like you're getting a lot of new wonderful icons because I like that new one a lot, but how do you cope with the icon angst? I just can't delete any of mine, I need 1000 icons spots I think.

Seriously, I'm all for Angel atm. One more show to add to my endless list of Favourite Shows, you know? lol And Wesley is a wonderful character.

This is a mystery! I mean, I remember a time when I had 49 icon slots filled and it was pure torture to delete just one, but... I must have done something to myself because I'm now at something like 47 or 48 icons and I'm alright! lol

Hey darling, you know there are other ways to ask for attention (and really, I wouldn't call it asking for attention but rather confiding in friends). So basically, what I mean is you know my number and e-mail.

See, this is my problem, I can't see my flist as 'friends'. I know, a lot of people see it that way and they confide in their own flists all the time, down to the most intimate or personal things, but I just can't - there're some people I see as friends, but out of the 135 users I have listed, it's just a *handful* of them. To me, a flist is just that... a flist. I love reading my flist, but are they 'friends'? No, which is heresy around here, I know *shrug* Friends are people who know you, which my flist doesn't as a whole, know what I mean? But thanks, I know I can go to you if need be, that means a lot *g*

And I already have most of the fist season on CDs as well, but I'm always curious to see what they did with the French version *g*

Yeah, at least Daniel never was almost smothered with a pillow as he lay in a hospital bed by a pissed off Angel. eep. But, Joss Wheedon is on angst crack, we all know that. He can turn anything into an excuse for hatesex, even if it's just verbal.

My best friend is addicted to Angel, but every time she tries to explain the plot to me my brain melts. I think I'd have to start from the beginning for it to make sense. I loved Buffy. Wes was deeply irritating on that show - he improves on Angel, hmmm? oh, dear... more DVD's to buy...

And yes, you wouldn't really recognise Buffy!Wes from Angel!Wes - well, at the very beginning, maybe, but he changes like few character ever changed in a show, it's quite impressive *g*
