Okay so reading the same line over and over again for several minutes and being totally incapable of explaining what was said might be a sign that you should give up - I hereby declare my revising done and over with for today *nodnod*

Before I start on anything else - huh... excuse me?? There's actually a fifth Highlander movie being filmed?? Highlander : The Source it's called apparently. And no one never ever even mentioned it? There's something rotten in the kingdom of huh... fandom *frowns* *shrug*

And I know, I know that I shouldn't rejoice at the idea of yet another HL movie because in the history of sucky things those movies have a place of honour, I get that, I do - but... but did you see who's supposedly in the cast already? Peter Wingfield! And did you see the subtitle? The Source - so maybe we would even get more of, like, two minutes and thirty-three seconds of the ROG?? One fangirl can only dream. Though it also seems that the filming has been delayed after all, so maybe it'll stay just a dream, and okay, it might be a good thing too. [Edit: So it seems Imdb wasn't the reliable soucrce I thought it was for once, and the movie isn't being filmed at all.]

Now that's out of the way - huge thanks to both yami_tai and lerefuge because thanks to them today has been an awesome mail day! First, Neige sent me 14, count 'em, 14 CDs of SG:A and SG S8 and can I say WOW?! And Tai granted me one of my dearest wishes and got me Descendants of Darkness, ie Yami no Matsuei the manga v.1 and I squeed like crazy because I have the anime but I've been dreaming of getting the manga for ages! Ah, aren't you green with envy, now? Of course if you don't even know what the hell I'm talking about, you aren't and if you know but don't give a toss about that particular series, you're even less, but humour me, please? She also got me a new CLAMP series and I'm in manga heaven *g*

I'll finish with the traumatising part of my Angel Marathon last night - ie my watching "Sleep Tight", "Forgiving", "Double or Nothing", "The Price" and "A New World". What? Yes I spend my days revising and my nights watching Angel these days - it's working quite good, too. Anyway, I just have one thing to say about those episodes, which is OMG! It shouldn't be allowed to break my heart in such a way! I thought watching Wesley fighting against the prophecy was bad... I thought watching Wesley got his throat cut was worse, but I was SO not prepared for Angel trying to kill Wesley *gasp*

I mean... I couldn't believe it, I just couldn't! That has to be one of the most shocking scene I've ever seen. Angel in a fury and trying to kill Wesley? But that was surreal! And the bastards had me almost believing that Angel was ready to at least try to start the forgiving process with this whole 'I know why you did this, I understand why you did' speech and the second after he's smothering him with a pillow and saying some of the most heinuous things ever? They traumatised me for good!

I was torn, really, because on one hand, you can't expect a father who just lost his son because of one of his best friends' action to really forgive and forget - but at the same time, that was just so bloody violent, so harsh so... dammit HE TRIED TO SMOTHER MY GUY! And he effectively cut him off the whole group... he killed a part of Wesley here, that's what it was, wasn't it? Like what Justine didn't succeed in doing to Wesley physically, Angel did it mentally - does it make sense? That was a very difficult scene to watch.

The next episodes weren't exactly better. Seeing Wesley becoming this dark and sad man was almost as difficult. And since I actively started watching the series, what? One two weeks ago, I really felt the contrast - boy did I ever! Alexis Denisof is one hell of a good actor. Technically I already knew that, mind, but there's always a moment when you really get to appreciate it and in those episodes? I definitely did. From his attitude to his look to his voice, it was really like watching someone else. Damn this was so fucking sad *sob*

Something else that is so sad is when I think of everything Angel lost - having Connor back that way was painful enough but to imagine all the years he missed in his son's life really broke my heart. But you still try to smother my guy, dammit!

How are they going to get past this now? I can't imagine how, seriously - there's been too much hurt between them all... I highly doubt that they'll resolve anything in the last episodes of the season and I don't have S4 yet! *sobs harder* I'll try to get it next week. I don't want to wait too long but I don't want to get spoiled either so I won't ask Flist dearest... the wait will be tough, but anticipation is half the pleasure so it should be good... I guess lol

Don't believe the crap on line about The Source cause it's just that, crap. There is currently no movie in production, no stars signed, no negotiations, and no script. Why this info keeps surfacing, I haven't a clue, but tptb have recently told a reliable source that they still can't get financing etc., etc. So don't get your hopes up.

The last I'd read about the source was that it was going to be a mini series and it was going to feature an all new cast of immies. There had been a production date set, but it went past without a contract and tptb are currently scrambling to try and find new backers. Though apparently they're not to found of the lack of enthusiam shown by the HL fandom for these new, young, hot, unknown immortals. *bg* They really haven't got a clue.

You really have an ear for accents, don't you! Vince and the gang are from Manchester whereas Stuart has more of a Lancashire accent, I think, but I'm not sure. Northern English accents do have the same pronunciation for certain words... e.g. they say 'path', 'bath' whereas people from the South (like me ^_~) say 'parth', 'barth' etc, etc ^_^!
