London, yes.
Jul. 7th, 2005 06:42 pmHeard about the news when I was at work - we don't have internet like I said yesterday, but we're still connected to some newspapers, that's the only thing that works, and not that well either - and it sounded surreal, like those things always sound, I think. I immediately thought of the Brits on my flist and in particular those I knew either lived in London or had families over there, like pretty much everyone on LJ did. This is something so odd with LJ, it makes you see things differently somehow. Like, you always feel sad and horrified when something like that happen, but when it happens in another country, it does sound surreal in a way - except when you're connected with people from all over the world on a daily basis, the country suddenly appears a bit more familiar because of them. Like maybe you never saw those people in RL but you can put a name on them - even if it's just a pseudo - and you know things about them - fannish or real - and they're familiar... anyway, all that to say, I'm glad people on my flist were fine at least {{Hugs}}
Came home from work and I'm going out tonight. I was this close to cancel cause I just wanted to cruise the net and read fics and all but Sandra goes on vacation tomorrow so I decided to be good *g*
Still haven't answered my comments - I think I'll do that tomorrow night when my weekend starts *eyes suddenly shine at the mere mention of the upcoming weekend*
