D-2 before I'm back at work. Starting on a Wednesday should be good for the soul, though: the work week won't last long.

Fannish-wise I've immersed myself in Inception slash the past few days. I've had so many tabs opened that I almost feared for my main Firefox window, but it was a trooper and didn't collapse \o/ So to try and be nice to it, I've started tagging stories over at my delicious account. It's always so much fun when you get into a new fandom! Admittedly, I don't know if that one will stick because I'm not used to falling for a film-based fandom (I think the other exception is Lotr and even that one a) actually came from a book series and b) had three films instead of just the one panned over several years so there was more canon material to work with) but I'm sure enjoying the ride at the moment.

It also gave me a craving for everything Joseph Gordon-Levitt so I'm adding to my DVD collection of his films and trying to find those tv episodes where he guest starred in (Numb3rs, That 70's Show). I also went down a lovely trip down memory lane when I remembered watching 3rd Rock from the Sun as a teenager. Also, aww bb!JGL! In other words, good times :-)

One thing I find a bit surprising in the Inception fandom, though - as I thought most people agreed it's not something you're supposed to do - is that it's apparently trying to make the use of epithets fashionable? I don't count the times I see "the point man" or "the forger" used in those fics.

Thankfully, there are many fantastic stories without a single "the point man" in sight so I'll just try to ignore those where the ratio "name:epithet" seems to be "1:4+". Plus, I've always been a huge fan of the back button so. Mind you, if the story hits my kinks, I'll totally read, anyway, let's be honest *honest!Mouse is honest*

And this doesn't have anything to do with anything but I'm (finally) going to the eye doctor this evening, which means that I'm gonna have new glasses soon enough! It's been so long since I changed them that I foresee a lot of "wow, you have new glasses! It looks... wow, look, you have new glasses!"
