Nov. 20th, 2008 07:13 pmI was in such a funk last night, you wouldn't believe it! I don't even know where it came from or why it hit like that; only that it did, and quite suddenly too. Then around 9.30 PM I just thought 'fuck you, funk!' and decided to go to bed, snuggle under the duvet, and watch Kaamelott - for Kaamelott never fails to make me smile and laugh - only to remember that the DVD player in my bedroom was dead. Funk 1 Mouse 0
Life is made of small pleasures most of the times, and sometimes of very small sucky things. My DVD player being dead was definitely one of them.
But all was forgotten this morning - well, aforementioned player is still dead but that's merely a detail now - and everything was back to normal. And it felt good :-)

yami_tai and me? We might be going too. In a 'we sorta bought the tickets today' kinda way so, yeah ;-)
It's not the only thing that made me happy today. I bought my very first Christmas cards! So okay it's just two of them and I still have a long way to go, but it's a start! \o/ And I got home tonight and saw that gmail had decided it was my turn to get the new theme feature so now my gmail is shiny and pretty!
And! Today is Thursday meaning that, contrary to what Cookie and I thought, the week hasn't been frozen in time and we are going to reach the weekend! Plus, SPN tomorrow. Even if I won't have time to watch it. Still, SPN Day is always a Happy Day, indeed.
Also, I'm having a fannish dinner, namely soup + grilled sandwich. I say 'fannish' because in fanfics, the characters always seem to be having soup with grilled sandwich and I never, ever do that myself. I mean, I do put bread in my soup, like my grandparents always did, but no sandwiches on the side. So is that how Americans (since the characters are always Americans, obviously) eat their soups? With grilled sandwiches? Or is it some kind of comfort food other people do and that I've never heard of before? I'm trying to think of those fics, see wether it was something offered to the injured/sick partner...
