Angel fans out there?

Actually, I'm thinking of Angel fans of the Angel/Wesley persuasion. The last time I asked I didn't exactly get what I wished, but I'll try again because... well, because *g*

So. I'd like some Angel/Wes recs. See, I was supposed to go to the movies on Tuesday but when we arrived, there were no tickets left so we changed our plans... to the better if we consider that at the end of the day, I'd had some nice Starbucks fix - yes, I'm turning into a Starbucks slut, I'm afraid - and I'd treated myself with Angel S1 Part2 on DVD - even better yet, they messed up with the price tag and I got the box set for 30€ instead of 50€ - woohoo! The destiny of this box set was to belong to me, see? It was fate!

Yeah anyway, I started watching the first disc and I'm feeling the Angel/Wesley love more than ever, so I need some fics to go with it - and this is when the flist should come in handy. Well, maybe - we'll see. You have some recs? Send them my way, please pretty please? Though no need to mention TBQ, I have pretty much all of her work saved on my HD already, thanks *g* [Edit: Wait, I wouldn't be averse to Angel/Wesley/Spike either - I'm just sayin']

Oh and I saw this Writing meme popping up here and there on my flist and I realised I really missed talking about my fics - you should have seen the long and multi-detailed mails I sent turps33 back then - pfew! lol - so I joined the little bandwagon *g*

Stories close to completion: The question isn't phrased correctly. You should ask me about my WIPs, period. Don't mention stuff as 'close to completion' for it usually doesn't belong to the realm of possibility - so let's just talk about the WIPs which are already well on the way... namely, Breaking Point2, aka The Bane of my Existence and the fifth part of my Night series which is technically almost finished... but not. Hey wait! I do have a story close to completion after all *preens*

My favorite: So I guess saying my Night series would be cheating? Though it never really stopped me before lol But okay, let's say that my favourite is I Follow the Night because I wanted to write that kind of darkish universe for a while but never got around to do it... until the day when the muses finally cooperated and made me write the exact story I've been meaning to write - really wonderful feeling for a fanfic writer, let me tell you *g* Also to my surprise, it had a pretty good welcome in the fandom - not that it's 'known' in the fandom, of course, but I got a lot more feedbacks than I thought and a lot of interest in that particular universe, which made me real happy too *g* And as it turned out, I Follow the Night happens to be the first of a little series, so it also enabled me to play again in that universe which I enjoyed so much. All in all, a really neat little success lol

My best: Not to sound redundant or anything but I want to say I Follow the Night again. It's rather dark and violent, it's gritty and painful but at the same time the love between the guys shines - or so I think and have been told *g* - and this is exactly how I wanted the story/series to appear, so I think it's one of my best stories this year *g*

Story most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion: Hmm that's not an easy question actually. I mean, I think I posted all my TS stories - bar one or two maybe, I'll have to check - at 852 Prospect and I received satisfying LoCs each time so I sincerely don't think any of those stories were under-appreciated. The two little SG ficlets I wrote were just that... little piece of fics written more in jest than anything... so let's say the Connection story because I can safely say that no one knows I even wrote that one *g* Then again... Players doesn't exactly even has a fandom so it was to be expected *g*

Most fun story: A Piece of Heaven and Who Needs Romance - the first one because it has Jim rimming Blair and seriously, can you have anything better than this? And the second because it has a nice J/D sex scene which I really had fun writing too.

Sexiest story: A Piece of Heaven - did I mention Jim rimming Blair?

Story with single sexiest moment: Okay huh... does Jim rimming Blair ring any bell?? But in case I can't babble about A Piece of Heaven again, I'll pick Jim and Blair's Ritual in I Follow the Night, which may not be the sexiest per se but there's something special in that scene, and sexy comes in many forms, so there.

Hardest story to write: Hmm, let me think for a sec--BREAKING POINT2. Yeah, I lied. I was thinking about that fic even before the question was over. Maybe I was supposed to pick among the stories I actually finished, but what can I say, those stories weren't difficult to write whereas this one is. See, it's really simple - this story is intent on killing me... annihilating me, making me lose it, driving me crazy. Or something. It stalled a hundred years ago and never wanted to start again. Which truly baffles me because I know exactly where I want to go. I know where the finish line is... I know how it looks, I even know which way it is, but apparently I have the hardest time fucking getting on the road. The story is 17 pages long - which for me is like a novel already - so it's well on its way... but it just doesn't want to keep on being written. It's so much more frustrating than two years after the first part, I still have people sending LoCs asking me about the sequel... and I wish I could just link them to the oh so nicely finished story, but it's just not happening. Bane of my existence, I'm telling you.

Nice writing things that happened this year: Well you know, just the thought that I did finish some stories is a nice-writing-thing-that-happened-this-year. But I can be a tad more specific. So, being nominated for the second year in a row at the SG Fanfic Award was a really nice writing-thing, thank you very much. And something else I enjoyed tremendously was being part of sentinelsecrets. I usually don't join those challenges because challenges and me aren't on speaking terms and we don't want to have anything to do with each other on a good day, but I made an exception for that one and I so didn't regret it - it was really fun and I hope I'll get to play again *g*

And turps33? I couldn't help but think of you when I was doing it - I kept wondering what yours would look like... *blink* Wow - that sounds pervie put that way lol
