Uninteresting List
Jul. 19th, 2003 06:05 pm1- Wrote four new applications for the infamous summer job. I guess it means I'll have four new negative answers to them... when I *do* receive an answer, that is. Got another one of those this morning actually. Oh joy.
2- Watched one of my two new episodes of Fastlane, and finally got to understand all of the 'Spying on Billie/Chatterbox!Van" scene in "Ryde or Die". Without the subtitles, I'd missed two lines of that scene, so we could say that two lines aren't a lot, but man, when I finally had them translated, it cracked me up! I just love that scene. Van is hilarious.
3- Read the last comment
turps33 posted at my LJ, and she made me think of my WIPs. I wanna have them all finished! *pout*
So let's see... I know compared to some, I don't have so many, but it's still enough for me *g*
a) The sequel to "Breaking Point: Silence" --> oh boy do I have to write that one, and soon
b) My "Intertwined" series which includes the main story and the companion pieces --> I prefer not to even say *when* I started that one! Suffice to say that it was the very first fic I ever started but never finished - obviously - and that it was 'some' time ago *cough*
c) "I Follow the Night" --> I would so love to write that one! Each time I'm reading the few scenes I wrote so far, I'm like, "Do something... as in write more!" Why oh why can't I do that? *sobs*
d) The prequel to my "Ellison-Sandburg-Banks" series *sigh*
4- So far so good. Received some LoCs for "The Game People Play" and no flame! Hurray!
5- Almost finished reading The Persian Boy by Mary Renault. I willed myself into taking a break because I'd like to make it last a little more, but I think I may go back to it before tonight. Love Bagoas! Don't want to see the story end!
6- I'm really curious about what is happening with my story "Breaking Point: Silence". I swear with the feedbacks I'm receiving atm, it feels like I'd just posted the story as opposed to several months ago. Not that I'm complaining, *far* from it, I'm just baffled. But in a bloody good way of course!

Date: 2003-07-19 09:14 am (UTC)And I know when you started Intertwined ;)
Oh and just a thought. Are people not reading BP due to the SG awards? Following a link from there.

Date: 2003-07-19 09:30 am (UTC)*glaring* Yes, I guess you *do* know when I started "Intertwined". But you won't tell anyone, right? *looking worried* Right?
And how stupid can I be, really! Yeah, I guess you're right about more people reading BP due to the SG awards. I mean, that's pretty logical, even. I didn't even think of that! lol Well, mystery solved then. I just don't see any other explanation, anyway. I mean, receiving some LoC for old fics here and there, okay, but this is beyond just "a LoC here and there". Well, at least, I've gained more readers *g*

Date: 2003-07-19 02:18 pm (UTC)How could I not notice! But as you see I've already done my own *g*
*glaring* Yes, I guess you *do* know when I started "Intertwined". But you won't tell anyone, right? *looking worried* Right?
I doubt anyone would believe me. We're talking years now ;)
Yeah, I guess you're right about more people reading BP due to the SG awards
I'd say so. I'd expect you to get old LoC's because the fic is fantastic but it sounded like you were getting a lot! But yeah the more readers the better.

Date: 2003-07-19 01:47 pm (UTC)"The Game People Play" is different from my other three SG fics, so that's why I was curious about the welcome it was going to get. So far so good *g*
Re:
Date: 2003-07-19 03:11 pm (UTC)oooh cock rings and spanking. i prefer bottom!jack and alpha!daniel (but it's not a rule, i don't really care that much) but i am impressed by your 'submissive' daniel. there's something you wrote, i think it was that he felt powerful even in his submissive role and well, that's what's different from a lot of submissive!daniels i've read. good, good job =)also, i like the way you keep digressing from the main action to their lives outside the bedroom, comparing and contrasting their private and work life.
hmm what else? oh yeah, i do like possessive!jack!!
yay, more than one line, my feedback skills are improving! (har har har).

Date: 2003-07-19 03:29 pm (UTC)Lots of people seem to prefer bottom!Jack, but I just can't join the club. My favorite is --obviously-- bottom!Daniel or even more yummy, submissive!Daniel.
I'm glad you liked how I portrayed him. The thing is, to me being submissive never meant being weak. The Top and the sub both have power, they're just using it differently. That's why I'm glad you saw that in my story, because my submissive!Daniel is no wimp or no weakling with no will of his own *g*
So you liked the digressing too? Great! I wanted to show different aspects of their relationship, to show the different layers of their life. I just love reading about Jack and Danny in their every day life myself, so I couldn't help *writing* it as well *g*
One last thing to say: Hail to possessive!Jack!!
Re:
Date: 2003-07-19 03:42 pm (UTC)::whines
like a whiny little bitch::why don't i know them?! in the last poll i made on my LJ only ONE person voted for bottom!jack. ok, most of them voted for 'it doesn't matter' but still...argh.
The thing is, to me being submissive never meant being weak.
unfortunately not everyone thinks like that. i think that's why submissive!daniel is not popular. if there were more submissive!daniels like yours, that could change, haha.
Hail to possessive!Jack!!
AMEN!
