Brian/Justin? Why me!

Don't mind me, I'm procrastinating. I'm trying to avoid going back to my oh so boring L'Etat, le patronat et le monde ouvrier book. I started to revise this morning, and then realized my mind was slowly dissociating itself from my body.

I took a break. Hi *waves*

You know, I'm living through a difficult time right now *sigh* I'm slowly warming up to QAF US. Yes, me! How is that possible since I never even watched a single episode? Bite me! Such is the sekrit power held by songvids and vids alike - oh and let's not forget the pics and the transcripts as well, shall we?

nekosmuse linked me to a wonderful songvid last night, and it picked my curiosity even stronger than before. Then I found this site with so many screencaps that my head is spinning and now... well now I'm starting to wonder whether I'm not slowly falling for Brian/Justin.

You know, being the Stuart/Vince fan that I am, I think this is just wrong on so many levels! Though since I'm seeing those two shows as completely different entities altogether, maybe I can redeem myself in a way. It's just... different.

I can't help wondering whether I won't like Brian/Michael better once I watch the series of course, but since everyone seems to be on the Brian/Justin side - apart from some of you, and you know who you are, I didn't forget lol - I can't help wondering what the main pairing really is supposed to be, and I can't help wondering which pairing I'm going to get hooked on once I'll see the thing for real *ponders*

Yeah, color me really intrigued now.

I always thought it was a good thing I practically never say 'I won't ever watch/like/fall for [Insert whatever show/movie/pairing here]', because in moments like this, I would feel really small lol

Though I'm still saying it sounds soapy to the core, but whatever. Now I need to get my hands on some episodes, I suppose; you know, to totally admit that I was wrong in the first place and change my mind *eg*

*pets Stuart and Vince* Don't worry, guys. Your place is safe! Besides, I'm a really faithful fan, I might add new obsessions, but I never give up on the old ones!

I didn't start reading Brian/Justin fics yet-- I think it'll be the clear sign that there is no turning back for me! lol

And never having watched a single episode shouldn't stop us from reading the fics, yeah, nice philosophy that one *nodnod*

yeah but a LOT of fics suck in my opinion. as i said it's MY opinion again - many people probably disagree. i just hate the fact that people keep making brian say i love you in fics because IT IS OUT OF CHARACTER. he thinks it fine. great even. but making him say it like it was the most natural thing to say in the world? haha, this is very bad characterisation. but maybe that won't annoy you, i don't know.

the B/J one? i got it from the website i linked you too. you'll go crazy when you'll see all the explicit B/J animated icons. they're made by paddies.

I can't speak for the UK version, but I've heard it's completely different. And I think a lot of it has to do with the actors.

Justin's played by Randy Harrison, Brian by Gale Harold and Michael by Hal Sparks. Randy and Gale have tremendous chemistry together (to the point that rumors have actually started up that they were involved off screen). Hal is one of the straight actors on the show, and he goes out of his way to remind people he's straight. He'll go on and on in interviews about how awkward the sex scenes are, and it comes across that way. All of Hal's sex scenes are more funny than hot. Where as, Gale and Randy just bleed sex. I think that's what makes the biggest difference, and maybe that's why the writers decided not to follow the UK version.

Then again, I'm biased, so who knows.

I don't think the difference would be in the sex scenes per se, because the UK versions has them as well, and they're pretty hot too. Stuart is sex on legs and he sure knows how to prove it to everyone, the captivated audience included lol

I saw some bits and pieces of other sex scenes between Brian and Justin and like you said, there *is* chemistry between them, it's impressive, it makes the scenes so hot; I could see it even though they were just bits of scenes-- I can only imagine what it'll be like on screen, like for real. And some of the others scenes I saw were just plain cute. I'm getting more curious about them, can you tell? lol

So there's a majority of gay actors, then? I sometimes wonder, I mean, I don't want to assume they are just because they're playings ones, that would be pretty stupid-- like in Oz for instance, Lee Tergesen and Christopher Meloni (I'm picking them because they played my favourite inmates) aren't gay, but boy do they have chemistry between too, wow! They actually played on it *eg*

It got me addicted. And don't worry about the QaF UK stuff. You have to see them as two totally different series, and you shouldn't have a problem. Take Michael for example in the US series. I hate Michael. But I live Vince. And I love Justin, but I hate Nathan. I don't think one can conmpare them, they are both good. And Brian is so very very lickable. *drool* You should watch it, really. Need eps? *g*
Unless you are going to be a Brian/Michael shipper. Then I say shut up and die are you CRAZY??? And I won't stop bugging you until you see the beauty that is Briam/Justin. They are so wonderfully dysfunctional. And Michael is an annoying little jerk with a comic fetish. You really can't compare him to Vince.

That's what I'm doing already, seeing them both as two totally different series, and the characters as different characters. I mean, I can't help trying to compare them still, but I'm going to stop doing that. Both series are their own series, period. I think it'll be easier for me afterward! I so love Vince, I refuse to compare him with someone I could end up disliking (though I really don't know about Micheal yet) and I dislike Nathan where I really want to like Justin, so there, it's decided! lol

Also... to tell the truth, so far I only saw Brian/Justin and I really think I'm sorta hooked... like, 100%, completely, totally, hopelessly. I couldn't believe some of the scenes I saw, I swear, it was so hot that even describing it as hot doesn't do it justice, and should be a punishable offense *nodnod*

OMG... OMG....


This has to be the most perfect songvid I'd ever seen! nekosmuse gave me one that was absolutely wonderful last night, but I think this one just beat it! It's... wow, I'm speechless because it was *so* good! And it has my Mystery Song. This song is one of my favourites, and I don't know the name of the artist. I discovered once when I watched a songvid, and somehow I have this impression it also was a song used in SV but since I don't like that show, I can't really say-- but anyway, it's one of my favourite song and coupled with the vid... it gave me goosebumps!

Hmm. Guess I didn't. She makes the most perfect Jack/Daniel vids, quality, songs, characterisation... perfect. And now I hope to see her make more QaF, because that vid is also perfect. it was the first QaF vid I've seen, and it totally spoiled me for every other vid. The song is by Lifehouse, I'll put it on one of the CDs for you. Cause there really needs to be more Brian squeeing on my flist.
I mean, you can squee about Vince, of course, but I've seen only two eps of the UK version, so I can't really squee with you. Just a little bit. ;-)
