Entry of a TV addict.

Me, I love tv. Tv and I have had a really rich and intense friendship since forever - it started when I was a little tyke and it never stopped. It used to drive my mom crazy because she had to kinda literally drag me away from the shiny screen each time she would bring my sister and me to the park because she kept insisting I needed fresh air and stuff - we lived in a small flat so technically I do see her point but it was always torture for me. Ask me about my favourite childhood songs and I'll draw a blank, now ask me about my favourite shows and I'll talk your ears off.
Okay so why the melodramatic trip down memory lane? For no reason. Except, just - so I love tv, and most of the time? Tv gives me back my love tenfold.
And, see, yesterday's episode of Hustle SO delivered. Those very first seconds? KILLED ME DED!
Danny was spanked! Let me take a moment to reflect on that... Danny Blue received a spanking. And not just a spanking, actually, but a caning. Kinky bastards! So okay, Danny was bent over the table and he was subjected to a caning. I mean, please! I need a warning next time or - or I'll die okay?
And they even got to show it twice... oh Hustle, I love you SO MUCH! *dies*
Now, I'm haunted with post-ep 3 fics; especially one with Danny whining to Mickey about the caning and Mickey showing him he could take much more, then making it all better. Oh yeah I can see it. He would spank Danny - with his hand - and then he would caress the hot skin and then he would make sweet love to him with long, leisurely strokes and is it hot in here or what? *fans self*
As for the rest, it was brilliant too, as per usual.
I love Hustle for the characters - as an ensemble, they're one hell of a great team, for the stories and also for the way they film the episodes. Do you know many shows that combine silent white & black sequences à la Chaplin with your regular modern scenes? I just love their special effects, it's always so smart and all. And in this ep we had two of them: the white and black sequences plus a Matrix kind of scene. Awesome!
And they had one nice guest star, too! Richard Chamberlain, uh? Neat :-)
I'm still completely smitten with Danny. The man is just too adorable for words. And he also proves to be a better conman every day, I like that he was the one who brought the money on the table at the end.
I'm also completely in love with Stacie. She's so classy and so smart! She rocks! *loves*
And did I mention THE CANING? Yes? Well I'll say it again: omg Danny was caned! *dies*
Oh and I watched The X-Files and omg they KILLED the Lone Gunmen?? But - but what the hell?! They didn't really do that, did they? And what about the spin-off, then? Man, I'm totally confused and so very crushed! So is that true? Is it for real?
I also caught the Kaamelott repeat and omg! Talk about an intense way of ending the third series! Man! Guenièvre was so AWESOME! She looked so much like the queen she is - she blew me away, seriously. I don't know, I guess I'm so used to seeing her as a goofy girl - like all the others - that I tend to forget what she is exactly but after those two last episodes, I totally remembered. Wow.
Lancelot's speech when he confronts Arthur was pretty shocking in the sense that it was so harsh! It was taking the comic of the whole show and twisting it into something that was pretty hurtful and mean. That surprised the hell out of me.
And who would have thought we would end a Kaamelott series on that kind of note? That was one hell of an episode.
Also for the record, there are tv shows I don't like. Off the top of my head I can give you three, count 'em three names! The infamous Smallville, The O.C and One Tree Hill. Ha! Not bad, right? Right?
