Happy Birthday
x5_536! It's the right date in my neck of the woods so I don't feel like I'll bring you bad luck if I wish it to you now lol I hope your day was/will be fantastic - maybe you'll get to eat a Fish cake? [/lame-o joke] Also, I'm thinking about you a lot re: You Know What *hugs*
Random Fact 1:
I slept ten hours last night! Dozed off around 1.00 am and just fell asleep and yes! I hadn't slept so well in *thinks* more than a month. Pure bliss *happy sigh*
Random Fact 2:
I love Domino Day, whee! Never miss it and yesterday was no exception and woohoo Europe broke a new world record: 4.155.476 dominoes fell *bounces* And it was gorgeous and amazing as usual [/domino geek]
Random Fact 3:
I watched most Hustle - ie I'm afraid I don't have any new episodes left to watch - and I absolutely adore it! I seriously can't get enough of the interaction between the characters. Also Mickey is awesome and I love him even more when he's amused and smiling or laughing - usually at Danny's antics, btw. When I think I saw him as cold and distant at first *shakes head* I mean sure he is that, in a way, but at the same time he's so not! Anyway, love Mickey. Actually, all the characters are always cracking up at Danny - which makes them look a) so realistic and b) so much like family - and I also wonder, did they smile so often before Danny came into the gang?
But anyway, it's brilliant and seriously funny, I don't count the times when I'm bursting into laughter at what one of the character said - usually Danny - and I'll be watching the episodes all over again this weekend, methinks *nods* Also, I'll have to pay attention to the third season that will air in 2006. Dude, I hope I won't miss it *chews at lower lip* Also? GIP. Look what the wonderful
crazybutsound made for me! I just couldn't resist asking her for that caption and seriously, didn't she make the best Hustle icon you've ever seen? *kisses Jem*
Random Fact 3b:
Hustle quote: "I'm too pretty to go to prison... I would never get any sleep" [Danny]
Random Fact 4:
The torrent for Numb3rs 2x08 finally appeared and I'm downloading it and squeeee Numb3rs!
Random Fact 5:
Am working on my latest TS fic, squee x2.
Random Fact 6:
It's getting colder these days - I think it's around 3° today - and yay I love cold, the air smells different and I love it. Maybe we'll get snow in Ile-de-France again this year *fingers crossed*
Happy Birthday

And now I'm just scared 'cause obviously, we share a brain. I love cold. I love the way the air smells when it's cold and I love how alive cold makes me feel. I really love cold and it's getting colder by the day and everybody is complaining but I couldn't be happier about it. *happy sigh*

Blame me all you want, mate - I'm used to being blamed for new addictions I inflict on other people - but don't forget to write a review afterwards! *bounces*

Date: 2005-11-20 12:38 am (UTC)You can try here (http://www.dominodomain.com/) for some info. I wish they posted more pictures because the tableau are just... so beautiful and so incredibly done! I watch it every year and each time I'm blown away by the expertise of those people.
It's also a great team work as team builders come from all of Europe.

Date: 2005-11-20 12:02 am (UTC)Was this the same Domino Day where a sparrow flew in and knocked over 23,000 dominoes? In Amsterdam?

Date: 2005-11-20 12:43 am (UTC)People from all Europe participate - countries send a team of "Builders" [Bâtisseurs in French] who are chosen after some selections and stuff. Then, all the Builders go to Holland where they'll stay for two months to work on the dominoes. The area they use is big as two football [soccer] stadiums or 38 tennis courts. Imagine the work it demands to fill the room!
And this year they broke a new World Record, wheee!
