(no subject)

See, I was going to ask about the latest Gatewank, but I think it would be pointless because there will be a new one tomorrow and by then, this one will be old news, so what's the point, right? Though just tell me whether it was the shippers' doing again?

Speaking of SG, those Saturdays are nice as SG goes since everyone is posting their reviews on Friday Stargate - feels nice when you're waiting to watch the real thing yourself. Oh, something amusing to read though? When someone says stuff like I'm not going to use a cut because unless you live under a rock, you all have to know about the latest episode of SG - damn, some people really suck at geography and apparently they need to be told about, I don't know, the rest of the world? *shakes head*

I can understand it's easy to forget using tags after a while but when you're still in the middle of a brand new season? Is it too difficult to remember that not everyone lives in the US and that no, not everyone gets to see the show at the same time - actually, even within the States, like if you don't have cable and all. So really it doesn't seem so unusual anyway. And we don't all download episodes either - yes, I know, both concepts boggle the mind, sorry lol

Anyway.

So yesterday, had a busy day but I'll spare you the details - rejoice, flist. It ended up on a quiet note though, my cousins and I settled in my bedroom and we had us a nice little Futurama [w/ Italian accent, please] session until midnight. Before that of course, it was The Olympics because we're so very addicted to it.

Back to Futurama though, know what? I'd totally forgotten that there was a canon gay couple in that series. No, not kidding. Url/Smitty, anyone? And their love is even inter-racial and everything, hail to Men/Robot love - aww theirloveissofuturistic.

On a different note, and because I apparently love writing disjointed posts - I just finished downloading QAF 403 and it reminded me of how much I miss those weekly QAF downloadings *sigh* I think I'll even have time to watch it before Godmother and Co come back from the mall.

I mean, if I think having my cousins look over my shoulder while I'm checking my flist --with all those compromising icons usually displayed for my pleasure-- is weird enough, I can only imagine how impossible it would be to try and watch a show like QAF with the kids threatening to barge in the room at every second *shudder*

Olympics slash?

Man, those athletes will make me cry yet! Seeing those men and women cry from joy is so moving, you know? Sébastien Vieilledent, Adrien Hardy (gold winner at double sculls) and Malia Metella (silver at 50m freestyle) were too cute for words, really. Also, France apparently won the gold back for eventing? Damn, first France, then Germany then France again? This is one weird victory is you ask me, but whatever...

Speaking of the Olympics, know what? I think I finally found something where I can't see slash - it's sport in general, and those Olympics in particular. I see everyone going crazy about the boys and girls performing, I see people on my flist slashing say, Phelps/Thorpe, and I can't help smiling because for once, I'm not part of the crowd - wow, that's new all right! lol

Who would have thought I would be slash blind one day, right? Well, I'll take it as the exception that proves the rule so I'll survive *nodnod* See, the only slash I see is about Amélie Mauresmo and it's not slash exactly, like for real, since she already is gay, know what I mean? lol

Btw, Godmother and Co are leaving tomorrow morning. I'll have the house back by then and I'll be able to catch up with all the fics I saved but couldn't read the past week - besides, I'll be able to really focus on my flist again and this is going to be nice *g* I'll miss them but I'll rejoice at finally having the break I've been craving all month. So tomorrow should be a nice J/B and J/D fest with some Sk/M thrown in the midst because I suddenly feel a craving for some kinky XF fics, so yeah *eg*

ETA: Okay, I'm apparently this close to cave in and join the Slash Advent Calendar and I want everyone to know it's all kennedy_bowman's fault if I end up doing it. The damn woman knows me a bit too well *glare*
