Work has been draining lately. Deadlines upon deadlines, problems piling up over problems... nothing bad happened but I was close to Complete Mess a couple of times. Tomorrow will be intense again but everything is ready and it should (*knocks wood*) go well. It'll just be long and boring. Though I prefer boring as exciting, in this case, would mean riddled with problems to solve.
To make the week even more interesting, the girlfriend had a little mishap yesterday morning when she left for work after I'd left already and locked herself out. Which wouldn't have been that problematic if she hadn't let the keys inside the lock. (It was that kind of week, you guys.)
As we have the kind of secure door that means we can't just fiddle with the lock and break into the flat like that, it meant we had to take drastic measures to get inside and retrieve her keys. In the end, we sorted things out by having the locksmith get into the flat by breaking one of our windows, which ended up much cheaper than if he'd had to break the door. That was quite the little adventure.

I do love that first rush when you get in a new fandom but it's also intense! You just want to inhale every single piece of media and whatnot related to it and it is consuming! In a lovely way but I just love it when things start to slow down and the sense of, idk, urgency isn't so sharp anymore? Anyway, I still have a gazillion opened tabs so I do have my work cut out for me but I'm thinking I'll survive :) Incidentally, I'm quite impatient to see This Is Us with

Ok, enough about 1D now. Though, to be honest, I didn't even mean to write about them in this entry, my plan was to post a book tag I'd seen... somewhere. I pasted it in a draft a couple of days ago and sadly lost said draft (as in, I accidentally deleted it and thanks to gmail I can never recover it ever again!). I tried to search for the tag but I can't for the life of me remember where I saw it! I originally thought it was on my flist but it could be on BookTube or even on Tumblr.
I just remember two of the questions (should it ring a bell to one of you); one was about the first book we remember enjoying and the second was about the books we plan on purchasing next. I can give a quick answer to that question, btw. I have my eyes on several books but those two in particular The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Afanasevich Bulgakov and Vicious by V.E. Schwab
