Avocados at law! - part 2
Apr. 23rd, 2015 10:01 amThis morning I had breakfast in bed; it wasn't breakfast on the beach like yesterday but, hey, breakfast in bed, there's worse way to start your day, right? :) So yes, Cookie and I got home yesterday from a couple of days in Normandie; we hadn't gone on a little holiday just the two of us in ages and it felt good. We had some insanely good weather (blue, blue sky making the sea look gorgeous) and took full advantage of it. We had long strolls on the beach, we sunbathed in the garden, read, ate good food. It was restful and peaceful and just what we needed ♥
I wasn't that keen on coming back to Choisy and the noise and concrete and, you know, all that is not quiet and fresh air but there was something waiting for me that made it all better, namely Daredevil. In case anyone's wondering, my Daredevilobsession mood hasn't abated. Not in the slightest! Quite the contrary, it's grown stronger with the distance. I mean, imagine, four days without a single episode to watch!
So that was my little treat once we were home, the laundry was done etc. This new viewing (I'm not sure how many times I've watched some of those episodes already) was made even better as we finally found the HDMI cable that we needed to hook our Mac to the tv (it was overdue, btw), so we had Daredevil on a big(ger) screen. With better lighting \o/ Bliss :)
My campaign to make everyone around me watch the show is going strong, btw, I'm happy. I'm so full of squee, I need to let it go with kindred spirits. So,
turps33, I'll reply to your comment later but if you do end up watching it, let me us know what you think! Fingers crossed that you enjoy it as much as I did. Beware, though, I have so many feels about that show that I might wax poetry about it to you if you do lol
OH! By the way. Something fannishly awesome happened the other day. So Cookie is working on a Daredevil fanart at the moment (because she loves me and, possibly, because she's getting tired of listening to me moan about the fact that there's not enough DD in my life? Maybe both, mind! One doesn't exclude the other lol) and I thought it would be fun if I tweeted said fanart to all and sundry or, you know, (showrunner) Steven DeKnight. Well not only did he read the tweet, he actually replied to it, complimented her work and shared the fanart to his followers! Believe you me, a lot of squee ensued lol
Anyway, to conclude: Daredevil!!
