The Old Guard
Jul. 14th, 2020 10:59 pmI'm this close to add "this. this is the post" and leave it at that because this entry has basically no other content than this. The Old Guard. As in, I watched it. I enjoyed it a whole lot. I now want all of you to go and watch it too so we can have fun talking about it. ( I mean, look at me, doing an lj-cut to hide spoilers like it's 2004! )
We are not talking about the movie of the year as such but The Old Guard is highly entertaining, the characters are likable and interesting, the ladies badass, there is a sort of intimist and languid feel to it amidst all the action, the fight scenes are fantastic and the whole 'verse has so much potential. Also, what's behind the cut ;)
Anyway! I'd love to stay and chat some more but er, I have a new AO3 tab opened and fics that are calling my name so... toodles!
PS: and I just found out it's actually based on a comic which, yes, makes so much sense! I'm hopeful for a sequel now. Or a prequel. Something!
