May. 30th, 2005 11:03 amTim Tams! I've got Tim Tams!
babycakesin the parcel finally made it home! And what a parcel wow! CDs, yummies. Thank you, honey! *ogles Tim Tams some more* I mean, dude! You outdid yourself! Cause know what, guys? There were four different kind of Tim Tams in there! Original, Dangerous Liaisons, Double Coat, Chewy Choc Budge and just... is there anything better than chocolate? Wait, I know the answer to that one! Oh yeah, rumours have it it's sex... except I'm not really sure. Not right now at least because TIM TAMS! So of course I already ate one - followed your instructions to the T, too - and decided I needed more practice, you know? So if you really want to do the math, I sorta ate more than one. I also decided that after I'm back from my exam this afternoon, I'll snuggle up in bed and OD on Eddie Izzard while eating Tim Tams. You're so the best, chérie! And there's more to come? Heee! That is all, thanks *g*
Because every TS fen is doing this quizz and because there's no way in hell I'm letting them have all the fun without me [and because I wanted my own pretty picture] here the Classic Story Role I Play. And not that I'm complaining about the result but I wanted to be the Wayfarer Guide! *pout*

You Are The Outlaw
"Sure, I'll do it. My way."
Just because you do not conform to the same laws and rules as everyone else does not mean that you are a bad guy. You travel your own path, separate from those around you, with your own reasons for doing what you do. Because of this and your own nature, it goes without saying that you are generally misunderstood. That does not matter much, though, as people love you for being who you are. You are pretty well set in your ways and have no real intention of changing. This can come across as a flicker of arrogance if your not careful. You do what is right for you, and God help anyone who stands in your way.
Which Classic Story Role Do You Play?

Still, I travel my own path, man!
Also, remember when I swore on my pretty floral bonnet that I would finish Firefly soon? Well, I did. I caught up with the rest of the episodes and wow! I mean... I already loved the series pre-"Ariel", right? But I don't know, it seemed the episodes after that one were even better somehow and I enjoyed that second part even more. Which is saying something. Also also, as incredible as it sounds, I started seeing Jayne differently after "Ariel" and suddenly... not that I loved him or liked him or whatnot, but I saw him for good. There's something, here. So yeah.
Two things I love with Joss Whedon [okay, among other things] are a) how he always mixes the funny and the intense and b) how he's not afraid to address violence and sex. It's not that I want violence and sex in shows I watch, but I always dislike how most shows gloss over those aspects even when we're dealing with adult characters in a violent world. It's always ridiculous to forget both. So when I watch Firefly and I see war scenes and battles and torture scenes or when there are mentions of sex, rape, prostitution, well as disturbing as some of those themes can be, it just makes the whole thing more real because yeah, in a world like the one where the characters of Firefly live in, that's how it is. Also for the record? How much did I love that there were boy whores in "Heart of Gold"? A lot. Well, that's one way of putting it, of course.

Date: 2005-05-30 10:41 am (UTC)i loooved the boywhore. and i loved that Kaylee noticed them. it's such a shame the series was cancelled, there was more to Jayne and Book for example than what we got to see. hopefully the movie will address all this!!

Yeah, I loved her "I wonder if they service women at all" - lovely *eg*
Also, how much did I love the whole Inana/female councilor thing! *dies* So sexy, so sensual... so beautiful *happy sigh*
And yeah, hopefully we'll get more in the movie, so will they have time to really address those points in a two-hour movie? *ponders*
