Oh noes! I completely forgot my Lj Anniversary! And hey the date was So Very Cool too. Look - 06.06.06! Was I trying to tell myself something? lol Anyway, on the 06.06.06 I had my Third LJ Anniversary. Three years, flist. Actually, how can it only be three little years? Feels like forever. And what did I do before those three years? Boggles the mind.
In those three years, I've met twelve lj!girls - considering no con was involved with those meetings, I'd say it's an honourable number - and I've also visited a new country thanks to one of them. That's what I'd call a success story :-) And then there's the good ole Flist which never fails to make my cyber life so much more interesting *cheers*
Without the slightest segue: saw Sandra yesterday and she gave me my bday pressies: X2 + Elizabethtown DVDs! *bounces* She also made me smile because she bought the latter for herself as well after I'd told her the story back then. And, really, why can't I be a remunerated Storyteller, uh? I would kick ass!
Anyway.
I was a bit in a funk last night so I treated myself with a lovely amount of tv series, including an episode of Due South that I caught on W9; it was "Burning Down the House", which I hadn't seen in years. It was brilliant. I will definitely miss RayV as I've always loved him but I've been conditioned by my flist to like RayK as well so it'll be okay.
Also, I loved the RayV-Fraser scene at the beginning with the phone call. Aww it was so sweet! And I don't know about the English version so I don't know whether they changed some of the lines or not but Ray's "I'm happy to hear your voice" to Fraser really made me feel all tingly inside, that and the whole friendship part of their conversation. And, of course, the very last scene with the postcard-picture was fantastic too. As for what came in between, it was awesome with a very confused!Fraser and a funny!RayK. Poor Frase, seriously. But I'm glad he found his center again at the end, and found a new partner too. Or lover if you want to look at it that way ;-)
Then I finally watched The 4400 3x03. Nothing really happened per se in that episode but it was still nice, so I'm still enjoying the new season. And seeing Shawn is always of the good, so I'm not complaining :-)
I have the feeling Isabelle is going to grate on a lot of people's nerves but, for the moment, I still really like her. Sure, some things could be toned down a bit but it hasn't reached a point when it irks me so I'm enjoying her character a lot so far. I had to roll my eyes at the last scene, I'll admit, but, well, it was bound to happen the way they'd done things, so I'll just wait to see how it develops, if it does.
It did make me smile though because wasn't Shawn warned off Isabelle by Richard just a moment before they started kissing? That was effective. Not. But he's alone and lonely, he's missing his boyfriend like crazy, and he's young so, yeah, it was to be expected *sigh* Just - Jordan? Omg please COME BACK SOON, okay?
Oh and I caught a bit of a film and it amused me because a) CKR was guest starring in it, which yeah, that's what he does, guest stars in every production under the sun and b) Stuart Alan Jones kissed Nick Boyle! Twas funny *g*
PS: Hope it won't rain today or la Fête de la Musique is going down the drain *fingers crossed*
