Of the World Cup and Tv series...
Jul. 5th, 2006 01:07 pmForza Italia, abbiamo vinto! Siamo in finale, yay \o/ And hopefully I didn't completely butcher those two sentences ;-) My Italian is definitely more oral than written. Anyway, I'm sorry for Germany and I think they played really well - the Italians did have to wait to score, after all - but having your team win is always delightful so...
Now I'm waiting for tonight. I SO want France to win omg! La Globule is coming over tonight and depending on when he'll show up, we'll try to go to the Charléty stadium to watch the match on a big screen with a gazillion other fans.
Changing the subject - I've watched all of Odyssey 5 and omgwtf! I still think that as far as cancelled shows go, no one can beat the horrid John Doe cliffhanger but shit, talk about unresolved issues! Cancelled shows are hell! I need closure. I want a real ending *pout*
I also watched The 4400. Know what? It's a very good thing I hadn't had the time to watch "Gone" pt 1 last week because it means I didn't have to wait for the second part yesterday, I just watched the two back to back and it was good. Dude, that season kicks so much ass! I've always loved that series but, I don't know, season 3 is making me fall in love with it even more.
Poor Shawn! God, he's so alone and everyone is having a go at him and he looked like a little boy when he was being confronted by Richard and eeek the ending! Poor baby! You need your boyfriend Jordan, don't you? Don't worry, he'll come back soon and he'll make everything better [/wishful thinking]
Isabelle is so fucking disturbing. Candid and childlike and so very freaky. She's like a little kid who throws tantrums each time someone gets in the way - except her tantrums are the kind that, you know, can kill people.
The whole re-sending the 4400 kids in the past was disturbing too. To think that by the time we were watching the episode they'd already lived their lives and had died... I don't know, it freaked me out somehow.
And so the plot thickens. Dude! It's going to be one hell of a roller-coaster, YAY!
So in conclusion, is it Sunday yet, IS IT?
Lastly,
crazybutsound, I received the parcel this morning, thank you! So today I'm going to watch Devour and bask in the hotness that is Teh Ackles. Best program ever!

Date: 2006-07-05 11:41 am (UTC)Am a bit sad to hear the German team lost. Still...they did have a lot of problems in the past few months. Nobody believed at first that they would get so far and then to reach the semi-finale. That was awesome! In the end the better team won. No use crying over it (not that I would anyway :p)
I just read a few of your older posts. Congrats on becoming a sister-in-law! ;-)

Date: 2006-07-06 10:14 am (UTC)I thought that Germany might actually make it through the finale; when you host the World Cup you often reach the final stage. Alas it wasn't meant to be but, like you said, nobody was seeing them going so far so it's already a victory in itself.
Thanks a lot *g*
